Hi, I have a feeling that with an annual pass, or with the shareholders club, there might be a discount off the hotel prices. Does anybody know if this is correct? I don't seem to have any documentation for either and am wanting to see how much the prices would be as it might still work out cheaper to go to the explorers etc.
If there is a discount does anyone know how much? (and is it off the sale prices advertised or the full price?) and if both give a discount which would be the best?
    sorry for all the questions:embarasse
    thanks

you have to phone for either shareholders discount price or AP discount price. They can't be combined, and they also can't be combined with any package discount Disney are offering. By all means phone and ask, but usually a package price (because its discounted) is cheaper.

    There are other options though.

For winter dates Expedia do the onsite hotels without park tickets usually cheaper than Disney does.

Also, if some/all of your party have APs, you can book one adult (and any free kids) in onsite on a package, and then add the other members of your party to the booking when you arrive. You will only pay local tax of at most 2 euros per extra guest per night booked. This is a tried and tested method of AP holders staying onsite at DLP (I've done it myself ;)). With this method, you still have to follow the maximum room occupancy rule ie no more than 4 guests aged 3 or over, plus one infant, in a standard onsite room, once your AP holders have been added to the room at check-in.

Thanks for the advice, so am I reading this correctly, we only need to book for 1 person and then can add the others when we arrive for 2 euros each? Would that include breakfast? Would this be booked through expedia or direct with dlp?

yes, once you are all booked in at check-in they will print you a new hotel easypass showing how many people are in each room, and you all get breakfast included.

You can book your room either through Disney or Expedia, it makes no difference (although Expedia, room only, is generally per room per night, not per person, so you might be just as well booking everyone in at the start if you go through Expedia).

Remember the maximum occupancy rule though, when you are booking, if you want to add AP holders when you arrive at the hotel.

    thanks

The recommended way of booking is book the hotel and park tickets together. then get your eurostar ticket separately by getting it direct from eurostar.
that's how i've done mine (going in 2 weeks' time) and most people have suggested it done that way.

no, theres no late entry tickets for the parks at DLP. But, you don't need park tickets to go to the Village, thats where the new World of Disney shop is, plus restaurants, bars, more shops (including Rainforest Cafe, Planet Hollywood, Annettes Diner and Cafe Mickey if you want to start off your trip with a great meal in themed surroundings (plus Disney characters coming to you at your table at Cafe Mickey)).

11th Feb is a perfect time to go next year :) - you'll miss most of the UK holidays, and all the French ones (they don't start til the following week).

If you book 4 nights with Disney you'll get 5 days park tickets included (day or arrival and day of departure are included). For a first trip, I'd say book your hotel and park tickets together, you have missed the best offers so far for that time of year (there was a 2 nights free offer, and a 40% off offer, which ended a couple of weeks ago). Unless you are looking at the Disneyland Hotel or Hotel New York, the current Winter magic offer isn't as good, so you might want to wait until the next offer comes out (possibly in the first couple of weeks of November, just keep checking the official DLP website).

A decent price at that time of year for 2 adults and your children (they are always free at that age at Disney hotels) for 4 nights is around £400 total for the Santa Fe or Cheyenne, around £500 for the Sequoia Lodge and Newport Bay Club, and a quite a bit more for the Hotel New York and Disneyland Hotel.

Also, the direct Eurostar fares for February are crazy expensive already, so you might want to wait until the beginning of next month again (13 weeks before you travel), to get the indirect fares (you change at Lille, an easy change), as they might be more reasonable. Phone Eurostar to find out when your dates will be on sale for the indirect route, if its not yet they will contact you when the dates go on sale. Book them as soon as you can, because they will only go up in price the later you leave it.
  • Thanks a lot for ur reply . I am just waiting for a flash sale like everyone said to get some discounted prices. Can anyone comment what the rush is like in feb?
