I'll be there on the weekend yeah, next fri, sat & sun, but at least I'll know what time the fast pass will be for thanks. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0

Hi
Just to say I would do peterpan in the emh, we had exit passes as disabled son and we loved peterpan, its magical, we did usually 2-3 times a day lol, queues get big but has fastpass.
We had the burger and chips in cowboy cookout, and was nice.
Big thunder mountian was ok, but our 2 youngest 5+6 hated it, and the 5 yr old has done ben10 at drayton manor. To make things less scary the cast member told our kids to count the donkeys and animals.
Pirates of caribean is fab and well worth it, queue seemed to move quick, but that was watching from exit.
For us with our kids 8, 6 (Autistic) and 5, the rides they did the most and enjoyed most where
Peter Pan
Dumbo
Small World
Toy Story Parachute drop
Slinky Dog
Cars ride
Buzz Lightyear laser blast
Autopia
For the 8yr old, loves coasters it was the above +
Crushes Coaster (which he thought was great when it broke and they had to put the lights on so he saw the track)
Areosmith
Tower of terror
BTM
POC
Space mountian
The only ride he panicked on was rc racer lol0 -
Hi
Does anyone know if there are any Wall-E attractions at DLP ? my daughter is totally mad about Wall-E !! I wish they would bring a Wall-E 2 movie out.0 -
Thanks bluebluecow, that's a useful list and good info. Ds is four, almost five, I'll maybe sit towards the back of BTM so it seems a bit slower, unless I'm feeling wicked LOL. Been trying to convince him to go on the Tower of Terror, but he's not having it. I've tried bribing him and showing him a video of a 5 year old girl enjoying it... but nope... it's not working.
How long did you go for, and did you go over a weekend? Worried we'll be in big queues constantly which won't please ds, or me if I'm trying to keep him occupied.
Do you think it's possible to do most of the EMH rides in one morning? Looking forward to going on POTC. May eat at Blue Lagoon too just for the atmosphere. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. the back of BTM is faster, the front is slower.
I really enjoyed the Blue Lagoon for lunch - but if you are a party of 2 you won't be seated near the water, there are only tables for 4 there.
And don't forget, if the park is busy on the weekend days, go to the Studios and do the shows there (minimal queueing required, maybe 10 minutes before the show starts). Also on all your days, at 4pm in the Disneyland Hotel, there is a character dance, meet and greet. This is a great place to meet characters and join in with them, without all the usual scrumming inside the parks.0 -
Did you guys take Euro's to spend?
I'm not sure how much to change up, we are going for 3 days. Can you use normal debit cards in the park? Or do you get charged silly amounts for this?0 -

lol yeah, I did mean the front! Let's hope I remember on the day. Maybe I'll go on at the front, lull ds into a false sense of security, then go on at the back...
Is Blue Lagoon still a decent place to eat if you're not near the water then or does it lose it's appeal?
I'll make a note of that meet & greet thanks! There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0 -

I do usually change sterling into euros before I go and use mostly cash at DLP. There are only 2 of us though, so I don't need to bring loads of money.
you can use your debit/credit cards in the parks, to be honest although you are charged a fee by your card provider for the transaction abroad, you tend to get a better rate on the currency exchange if you use your card, so its swings and roundabouts really.
there are also atm cash machines in the parks and in the village, but obviously, the more you use that the more you will be charged by your card provider (ie its a transaction fee every time you use the atm). if you do need to use the atm, best to withdraw enough money all at once to last you, so you don't incur any additional transaction fees.
if you're staying onsite, you can also register your debit/credit card at your hotel when you check in. you get an easypass which you can then use in the shops/restaurants etc. everything is charged to your room, and your account is only debited once you reach something like 300 euros spent (so that will cut down on the transaction charges from your card provider).0 -

We were seated one row behind the water-side tables, its a dark restaurant, lit by lanterns, so you don't see much to be honest - but we both enjoyed our food here.0
