  • Hi guys. Me and my OH (no kids) are looking at going sometime this year. We're not fussy about the time so we're thinking September so most of the kids are all back at school and relatively quiet(?). I've been looking on the DLP website and with their 40% off deal, 7 nights at the end of sept in Cheyenne comes to £970-odd or £900 straight if you uncheck the button so that you're not "close to hotel amenities" - we're young and able so will walk to save a few quid! This looks to me to be a great deal. Am I right, or am I missing something? Is this because its changeover from 20th anniversary to Halloween - will that mean loads of disruption? Obviously we'll book easyjet flights seperately and transfers. Cheers for any help! xx

September midweek will be ideal for you - very quiet in the parks and good weather too. There shouldn't be much disruption at all, certainly not for the 20th anniversary, because thats continuing all year from 1st April 2012. there may be some ride closures for refurb, but it will be the normal maintenance which happens all year round.

The only thing I'd say is, do you really think you could spend 7 days at DLP in a quiet time in the parks? Realistically you'll be able to do everything thats there, several times over, midweek in September, in around 4 days (5 if you want to take a trip into Paris for the day too).

Thanks for all the info! Will have a chat with the OH about the length of our stay, it would put less strain on our budget! I hadn't really considered anything shorter, but what you said makes a lot of sense. :)

get yourself a copy of Disney's Robin Hood, Peter Pan, and Alice in Wonderland DVDs - its not unusual to meet Prince John, Friar Tuck, Mr Smee, Captain Hook, White Rabbit, Queen of Hearts and Dee and Dum around the main park at DLP :). Tigger and Eeyore are often around too, as well as the fab five in the character restaurants/queued meet n greets (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto, Goofy). Chip n Dale are often in the restaurants/around the park too.

Well she watches Mickey Mouse CLub house so she's starting to know the main ones. Alice in Wonderland is def on the list (because of the maze!) as is Peter Pan. Will add Robin Hood too! Used to be my favourite one that!!

  • Hi, We've managed to get some of the Sky free tickets for Disney :j.

There are 2 Adults and 4 children going (Youngest 4, Oldest 9) and we are looking for a hotel for 2 nights near Disney. We were thinking of the Adagio so we could all be in the one room but there are some really mixed reviews on Trip Advisor. I'd much rather trust the views of the MSE community :) so could anyone tell me what it's like? I don't mind basic as long as it's clean. Or is the Etap a better option even if we have to book 2 rooms?

    Thanks in advance
  • Use the "search this thread" option up near the top of the page to search for Adagio...it gets mentioned on here a fair bit, generally with pretty positive comments I think.

Just booked hotel through eurostar and am going for Easter. It's expensive but stuck in eurostar as the two boys only want to go under the sea to see sharks ;)

Any suggestion to get some cheap park tickets, please? We are going for a week and plan to stay in the park for 3-4 days and then in Paris for the rest. The hotel we choose is 'Tulip Inn Marne La Vallee'. I hope it's livable ;)

if you're planning on visiting the DLP parks for at least 3 days on your visit, you will be cheaper with annual passes over a duration-of-stay park ticket.

check DLRP magic for details of all the annual passes available (you may need Dream passes for Easter dates, as the other passes are likely to have blockout dates for Easter). then have a look at cemultiavantages as they are currently offering reduced price annual passes, with the added advantage that if you have a child in your party who is aged at least 3 but under 7, their annual pass is free when you buy an adult one.

Thank you Ballet, Could you advise how I purchase the ticket through cemultiavantages? Should I do it online or simply give them a call?

Ok everyone, I might be going COMPLETELY bonkers, but what's happened to the Peter Pan ride???

I popped on DLRP Magic last night to look through the rides, and it wasn't listed?! Has it gone? Am I just going blind?! lol I'm hoping it's the latter! lol
