I would say almost certainly you can get it a lot cheaper than that. How many in your party, how many adults, how many children, ages of children? How many days and what dates are you looking at? Which hotel do you want, or are you flexible with this?

hi balletshoes theres 3 in our party 2 adults 1 child whos 6 and would turn 7 while we are there.we want to go the 28 august for 4 nights 5 days, we are flexible with hotels this price was quoted with the hotel cheyenne.
  • hi do any of you use the meal plan vouchers if so are these value for money or would i benefit more from paying for each meal,i have been pricing the full board standard and plus.

From a very quick look, the Expedia deal I mentioned earlier comes in at £791 for your dates including park tickets for 2 adults or 1 adult + 1 child at the Cheyenne. Add an annual pass (would need to be either dream or fantasy I think to avoid blackout days) for the extra person - €149 or €199 according to the info on DLRPMagic, not sure if you could get one cheaper with a deal elsewhere?

This doesn't include flights obviously but gives you an awful lot of spare cash to play with to pay for transport, plus you would get dining & shopping discounts with the AP as a bonus.

What would the Disney price be excluding flights out of interest?

no, I don't consider them to give you any saving anymore, over just paying for whatever meals you have when you are at the resort.

I can't get on the official DLP site from work, but have had a look on Expedia for your dates - yikes scary high prices !

however, with Vikki's advice above, I'd book 1 adult and 1 child in at the Cheyenne with park tickets, then get annual passes as below -

have a look at cemulitavantages - they are offering reduced price annual passes, and your daughter would qualify for a free annual pass through cemulitavantages, as she is still 6 years old when you arrive at DLP. you'd need to check DLRPmagic for the Annual Pass blockout dates, if there are no fantasy pass blockout dates on your proposed trip then fantasy annual passes will be the way to go for you :). this way, you also get a straight 10% discount on all your counter service, table service, or buffet service food at the Disney-franchised restaurants in the resort, plus 10% discount on the vast majority of your souvenirs in the resort too, as an annual passholder.
Even though your daughter won't actually need her own annual pass if you book her into the room on Expedia with park tickets, its worthwhile getting this because its free, and if you activate it before her 7th birthday she can use it for a whole year to visit again (so if you activate it on your first day in the park, when you activate the adult annual pass, you'll have until 27th August 2013 to use it again (and again) as you like, for her park entry).

when you call Disney to ask about room only prices, ask for the price with whichever annual pass you will be buying (either fantasy passes or if you need to because of the blockout dates, Dream passes).

for travel, you book direct yourself with whichever local airline does budget flights. I don't know which part of the country you're in, but we fly locally for around £70 each return. you'd need to add around 90 euros total return for transfers between Paris CDG airport and Disneyland Paris.

    Afternoon all,

Just popping to say Hi and thanks for all the advice so far. We have 2 days worth of free tickets for September via Sky (and with the help from my father in law for the donation of his tickets!). We're going to use clubcard vouchers for the channel tunnel and drive. After searching all possible options for accomodation, on site, and off, we're looking at a static caravan option about 10/15 mins drive away! V good value and perfect for us with a 2 year old! We can sort our own food the first night (Sunday), 2 full days in the park, leisurely breakfast on the Wednesday and then off. Suits us!

Currently stocking up on cheap disney DVDs for DD to watch so she reconises some more of the characters when we get there (rather than JUST Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs!!! lol).

Lovely to hear some people's reports from recent visits!!

get yourself a copy of Disney's Robin Hood, Peter Pan, and Alice in Wonderland DVDs - its not unusual to meet Prince John, Friar Tuck, Mr Smee, Captain Hook, White Rabbit, Queen of Hearts and Dee and Dum around the main park at DLP :). Tigger and Eeyore are often around too, as well as the fab five in the character restaurants/queued meet n greets (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto, Goofy). Chip n Dale are often in the restaurants/around the park too.

this is what we usually do :)
  • I've previously posted re DLP offers so apologise for sounding like a stuck record ;)

We're looking to book a 4 night/5 day break 1-5 June. Disney's current offering of 1 night/1 day free runs up to 23rd May then again from 10th June... typical! I'm guessing we're choosing a busy time or something which means Disney have no need to discount.

Do I book and pay the full price or wait and see whether another offering is forthcoming? My gut feeling is a further offer won't appear now but paying full price seems harsh :( Can I assume that ringing Disney and actually asking for a discount wouldn't help lol.

    Many thanks :)

Thats the Queens Jubilee. Its going to be busy because people can book 3 days off work and get 9 days off.
