I wouldnt recommending going anywhere out of the UK without travel insurance !
we have ongoing annual travel insurance via our bank
shop around for the best deal, you dont have to take the travel insurance offered with the SUN deal
Thank you, I really should have mentioned that we live in France, and that we have full health cover etc here. My Nan is getting the vouchers for me and sending it all off for me from her UK address. I dont see anywhere that you have to be a UK resident to qualify for this deal, but if the insurance actually is obligatory it could be a problem?0 -

RoseZebra - Sorry to disappoint you but if you read Martin's article on the main site, he explains that if you don't get on the outbound ferry from Dover at the right time, all your bookings are cancelled. Therefore I am not sure if this deal will work for you.

please give me a link to where martin says if you dont use the ferry your tickets are canceled. nowhere does it say this at all your not the first to scaremonger people into thinking they cant just use the offer just for the tickets. please stop writing this as its not true. the tickets for the ferry and disneyland are seperate but please give me a link0 -
no this is not the case. you do not need to get the ferry
you can book but not turn up !
Rose it does say you need to provide insurance details ,so i'm not sure ?0 -
Same here - not only just incase you have an accident, but for cancellation purposes, etc.... We're going in early January so I wanted to be covered for snow!
We went on one of the comparison websites and got a deal that was really cheap compared with what a travel agent or the like would offer. But I would never go abroad without insurance.
Jx
Could I be cheeky and ask who you booked with, please?
It took me ages to find one who would cover for snow without costing a fortune last year!
Thats my biggest DLP headache as I know Eurostar can be a nightmare in bad weather!0 -

It doesnt say this at all, it says:
' It's worth noting that if you don't travel on the outbound ferry, your return reservation will be cancelled.'
Obviously the issue of not actually using the ferry tickets was the first thing I looked into when considering this deal, and there have been plenty of other people all asking the same thing, and every answer I have got is that it wont be a problem.
Im still looking into the insurance issue though!0 -

Offsite hotels, as bluebluecow suggested, will work and might be cheaper than the Davy Crockatt Ranch if you want to use the one-day hopper tickets on the Sun deal and have just the one day in the parks.
Hi, thanks for the info. Where can I find your £325 deal? I would prefer the extra days park tickets, I think this would be most cost effective and I will book a ferry crossing.
Thank you.0 -

Thank you.
its on the official DisneylandParis site - which I can't access from my work PC unfortunately. Hopefully someone else here will be able to find the price for you, if not I can do it from home later today.0 -

Hi, thanks I gave it a go from the official site, but I got double the price. Not sure what I am doing wrong.
Also, as I have been to'ing and froing for a few days now, my orignal dates Sat 10th March to Mon 12th March are no longer available from The Sun Deal, best they can do for a self drive P&O ferry is Thurs 8th March - Sat 10th March, but there is only one room left at the Davy Crockett. Cost is £329 with the one day park tickets and with an extra day park tickets its an extra £114, total £443. I feel we will need two days in the park.0 -
I didn't get a quote for the Saturday check-in, as I knew that would be the most expensive price. I think I went from the Sunday instead.
eta - its possible the current discount offers have ended (was it bookings made up 30th November?). But don't worry, there will be another offer along within a week, thats normally the way the official Disneyland Paris booking website works.0
