Blimey, looked like we booked the Kyriad at the right time last week ...

Seeing that Eurotunnel tickets are valid for 5 days, we considered staying another night. Checked Expedia and for just the Wednesday night, the same room was coming up as £130 !!!

Out of curiosity, the 2 nights we booked last week for £120 are now coming back as £205 for the same standard accomodation

Could I be cheeky and ask who you booked with, please?

It took me ages to find one who would cover for snow without costing a fortune last year!

Thats my biggest DLP headache as I know Eurostar can be a nightmare in bad weather!

Oh, now you're asking. DH sorted it out, and we paid a little bit more than "normal" because we needed a bit of extra cover for him. Still cheaper than the travel agent though. And I'm assuming it covers snow (it better bloody had!!). I haven't seen the policy or anything. I'll speak to DH and let you know!

And it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end

Hi everyone, for those that have specific questions about the sun deal, I have found a page on facebook where a real person from the travel company replies to your questions very quickly. Its put my mind at rest about the insurance anyhow.

  • Hi all,

I am looking at booking a trip to Eurodisney via their website and I'm to clarify the cost of character dining.
I can purchase a 5 day premium meal plan for £600 which allows dining in all the restaurants with character dining.
There are also separate prices for booking these restaurants online.

If I buy the meal plan do I still have to pay additionally for the restaurant?

no, you don't. But some of the character dining restaurants are not premium price (Cowboy Cookout lunch or tea party, Chicago Steakhouse Sunday brunch, and Cafe Mickey - the main character meal venue). Maybe it would be a better idea to look at the prices and the venues, see what they offer, and then decide whether you want to pay for a dining plan?

DLRPMagic has a restaurant section with menus/prices/reviews, so does DISboards etc.
  • Thanks for that.
I presume the £148 for the Prince and Princess dining would cover a standard 3 course meal for all members of our party.
I am scanning several forums at the same time and it's easy to get lost in the overwhelming amount of info.

How many are in your party and what ages are your children?
as an example, the Cafe Mickey 3-course menu is 30 euros per adult, and around 17 euros per child. You can do Cafe Mickey much cheaper than that though, as you can share pizzas, sides etc (just like Pizza Hut really) among you all, and you still get the full character interaction experience there.

The Princess meal at Auberge de Cendrillon is the only one where you see some of the Princesses as characters, the other character dining venues have various other characters, but no-one is guaranteed except Mickey at Cafe Mickey.
  • Thanks for the reply.

There will be four in our group, myself, my wife and two daughters (4 and 7 at the time of travelling).
Booking character meals for 4 of the 5 evenings comes to £450, which is cheaper than the £600 that it would cost for the meal plan.

What other attractions need to be booked?
We have been to Disney World Florida last year and needed to book bibbidy bobbidy botique, although Paris doesn't appear to have one.

Its not called the bibbity bobbity boutique, but the Disneyland Hotel does Princess make-up and hair/ make-up, hair and dress packages. You would be best to email DLP and ask them if its going on when you are there (its not available all the time), then you can get the prices and make a booking.

Apart from booking your meal reservations (a free service) a couple of weeks before you go, you really don't have to pre-book anything else at DLP.
