Looking at the dates we are planning to go with the Sun deal ...
Expedia is coming up with the Kyriad for £128 (for 2 nights) and the Santa Fe for £186. The Kyriad appears to have better reviews and I am guessing the shuttles are frequent enough to make it worth the £60 saving.
Has anyone stayed at the Kyriad before and can recommend it as a place purely to have breakfast and sleep ?
We stayed here when we went in Feb halfterm and would def recommend it, its fine for a good nights sleep at the end of a long day!! If we go again will stay here next time.0 -
Thanks gracie10.
Now need to decide whether the Extra Magic Hours you get at the l'elysee val d'europe (or whatever it's called), but no breakfast and less frequent shuttle, is woth the extra £40ish.0 -

Looking at the DLP site, it seems you can only book DLP hotel & park tickets together.
Is there any way to buy just rooms without the park tickets?
Thanks.
the only way to do that through Disney is to call them, you can't do that online and it will more than likely cost just as much to do room only through them as it would for the park tickets and hotel together.
For December and January visits (possibly dates in Feb too although I haven't found any) Expedia are selling Disney onsite rooms without park tickets, and they are a very decent price. The service is the same, and includes breakfast, just like the Disney price.0 -
Does anyone know how I find out what the opening (and extra magic) hours during Feb half term (13th - 17th) as the official site only goes up to the end of January
just keep an eye out on the official site, thats where this information is usually posted first. Feb half term next year isn't, as far as I'm aware, shared with any other major European school holidays, so the closing time for the Studios park is likely to be 6pm, main park 7pm (maybe 6pm) midweek that week. EMH will more than likely follow the January pattern, so if its every day in January, it will be every day in February too. EMH is 8am to 10am in the main park (the Studios doesn't open for EMH).0 -

I'd say No - midweek in February will be quiet enough that you will be able to ride all the rides which are open in EMH (its only about 8 rides out of the whole park) with either fastpass or first thing at 10am, or in the last hour of the park day. The Kyriad is closer and more convenient than the L'Elysee.0 -
Im home
, had a lovely 4 day trip. Thanks for everyones comments and advice :d
Managed to fit most of it all in, arrived thursday lunchtime, via eurostar from ashford, left suday evening. Weather was lovely.
Sataday and sunday were heaving , so next time going to try and go completely mid week, or only one day of the weekend.
Got stuck on the eurostar on the way home , behind a train that hit an animal, which gave us a 2 hour delay. Otherwise a good weekend.
Can't wait to book the next one.0 -

Glad you enjoyed it!
What were the crowds like on the weekdays? Did you have to queue long for rides?
I ask as we've been once in a school hol (never again!!) and the rest in very quiet times. I'd like to go Christmas time but the thought of crowds has always put me off!
Was there a vast difference between week and weekend days?0 -

Massive difference, when we arrived thursday afternoon, the queue times for dumbo was 10 minutes ish, buzz lightyear was walk on and off, tea cups , carosel, snow white, all walk on and off. And got a fast pass for peter pan as queue was longer
Friday morning studio park, first thing, went straight on the studio tour, dh got a fsat pass for tower of terror and wait was about 15 minutes. slinky dog ride no queue, ( the green soldiers ride was a big queue though. Back in the main park at 5pm ish , buzz lightyear was walk on and off
Sat and sunday - only managed to do rides in the extra magic hours and very first thing after the park opened. the rest of the time the queues were an hour or more for the rides !!! couldn't move, people everywhere. So we did cinemagique, animagique, lilo and stitch live etc in these time.
I would say at least double the amount of people at the weekend, i suppose the nice weather didn't help0 -

If you don't mind me asking what were the very quiet times you have been, i am thinking about booking for next year and am deciding when to go0
