Ok want to book for March next year but how long should I hold out on booking for?

Atm the deals are good but run out end of Nov, do they normally offer better deals for booking at Xmas time as I imagine people don't often book holidays then!

well yes, there will be other offers (Disney typically release a new offer about a week after the old one finishes). Whether they will be better for you for your March dates or not, no-one knows until the offer comes out.

In the last year there have been 50% flash sales, 40% off offers, 30% off and 30% off travel, 2 nights free if you pay for 2 nights, etc etc.

So its really up to you - generally speaking, if you see a price that you're comfortable with, book it. Also, check DLP's other countrys websites (on the home page you can change your country). Sometimes with the exchange rate etc it can save you money if you book using another country's booking engine.

Hi went to dlp a few weeks ago in half term have to say it was brillant!
We went on a sun holiday to le chine gris for 4 nights went to the park for 2 days which was plenty of time. Watched all the shows which were fantastic and a huge hit with both children (4 and 1). Went on Its a small world far many times than is healthy and q'd no longer than 15minutes. There are so many characters about and even watched the mad hatter hanging about the maze and teacups. We also saw the villans which were bit scary for the little ones but we went and saw jack skellington and he spoke to my 4 year old for about 5minutes about halloween and was really nice my son came away really loving him.
The toy story land wasnt there when i went last and was also great, they had the toy soldiers at one point playing games with the children. Really recomend Animagique even my one year old was glued to it! Playhouse disney also a hit. HAve to say was glad i didnt buy the autograph albums though because the characters looked a bit fed up signing there name hundreds of times and when we saw mickey he was asking the people with no books to go first. We took packed lunches both days as we took the car, parking was 15 euros parked quite low down (the carpark was never nearly full) and enjoyed going on the escalators to the park. Didnt eat the packed lunches either day for lunch but did get eaten when we finished for tea saving oon cooking. Ate at Pizza planet and was really nice for kids in there day1 we had to q to get in no longer than 15minutes and day 2 went straight in does look like it gets busy at 2.30ish but still not long waits for food. they have a salad bar on one side and the heated areas are pasta and spag bol, pizza but is repeated so if you get your plate and get salad and go the the left of theheating plate you get the same food as everyone who is in the q on the right. ulimited drinks and the puddings were very yummy! cost 44 euros for 2 adults and 1 child (didnt have to pay for 1 year old) also have a very nice play area for kids to play while you finish eating.

Got tickets for 30 euros a day for 2 parks each and im glad as i saw everyone else paying full price! re spending money we took our own drinks bought the disney presents for kids beforre we set off in england and ate out both days and spent 44 on meal+ 15 parking that was it.
Sorry for long post but really enjoyed it. Glad we stayed off site we were 15minutes away which is one junction on moterway and meant we could stay longer and spend time doing other things!
we have stayed there with the SUN too,its ideal isn't it :)

and quite nice to stay offsite to get out of the "Disney bubble" ! lol

we are usually there for oct half term :( ( going to the Caribbean for xmas so cant grumble lol ) but will be back for the anniversaary celebrations next year :)
  • looking to book the sun deal for £9.50 does anybody know if you need to travel on the ferry. as im from glasgow it would be ideal to get 4 tickets for £38 then just book up the plane. ive saw somewhere else that p and o had a deal and the disney tickets where picked up when you checked in for the ferry can anyone help out .
  • I'm looking at the terms for the sun holiday. Surely I don't have to pay for my 2 year old? I'm looking at staying at least 2 nights as don't want all that travelling with my 6,4 and 2 year old in one day. Any suggestions for a hotel for 2 nights?
  • for anyone looking at booking a trip;
try looking on enterthemagic . com (not allowed to post the direct link as a new user)

    Try booking through this website.
One tip, if you're looking at going by eurostar, DO NOT book through the travel provider. Even though they say they have 40% off, this is a lie. When I tried to add eurostar to my trip, it added on £250 for the return journey for two of us.

I booked through Eurostar direct and it cost £132. I don't know if the same applies for the ferry and other such transport, but always look direct on the website before booking extras through these websites.

I'm very happy with the deal I got. Two nights in Hotel Sante Fe with breakfast and park entry tickets for £110 each. You can't get a decent hotel here for less than £100 a night, so to get breakfast, and park entry included is a fantastic deal I think.

With Eurostar, it came to £352 for the both of us.

Depends what you're after. I have stayed in Cheyenne, Sante Fe and the Ranch.

I loved the Ranch, and your kids will too. But you need to drive to the park from here. Cheyenne is good for the kids since you get bunk beds in the room, and Sante Fe usually has two double beds in the room.

These are the "budget" hotels, but I have found these to be perfect; characters are always about, rooms are clean and of a good size, breakfast is fine and close to the parks. Hope this helps!

if you are driving and dont mind staying offsite then look at hotels in the val d'europe area ( 2 mins drive rom Disney or 1 stop on the train)

as our children are older( 15 and 9 ) we book an apartment @ The Adagio Aparthotel ( self catering, although they do offer breakfast )

lots of cheaper eateries @ Val d'europe too and of course the shops and designer village!

O.k, have realised taking time off for this is going to be tricky so we're now looking at a weekend booking.

    Would this be nuts:

Friday: Fly (flight gets in about 7pm and travel down to hotel near the park)
Saturday: Full Day in Park and overnight stay
Sunday: Morning / Early afternoon in park and travel back to Paris for night in central Paris
Monday: Day in Paris and fly back Monday evening

We really want to do the park and also one night in central Paris as neither of us have ever been. Am I right in thinking you need 2 days to really experience the parks?

If we can get hotels that will look after our luggage after we have checked out we can they do the exploring bit :)

    EDIT: Or we can do...

Friday: Early morning flight getting into Paris at 9am. Could then be in the Park by lunch time I imagine?
    Saturday: Full Day in park
Sunday: Poss not go in Park at all but travel into central Paris for the day and night
Monday: Day in Paris before late night flight back

Problem with these options is we would have to go back to work on the Tuesday and probably wouldnt get back to our home until 3am.....

    Help!

    Help!

Personally I think you need two full days in the parks to appreciate it.

Given that there are two parks, and the main one takes a day to get around properly, I think you wouldn't get the chance to fully appreciate them if you are just there for one day.

I think two full days is sufficient (one for each park)

It is quite a long weekend, especially with the travelling and the walking around the parks all day. If you have kids they could get very tired by Sunday!
