    Oh crap.
Was meant to be going on Monday for 3 nights/4 days. SIL now in Hospital, trip cancelled.

I was due to travel by eurostar separately, and am booked in a separate hotel, although minutes away. They would have been getting there by ferry.
Torn between worry about her, (She is doing ok, but unlikely to be out of hospital before the middle of next week) and disappointment that it looks like I will miss my only away break this year. (Funds low, have had to save like mad to afford this.)
And I will miss spending time with the kids massively. (Love them dearly and dont see them often enough)

Do you think travel insurance will cover this? Bearing in mind that it was 2 separate modes of travel/hotels etc, although we were away together?
Not sure if I can face going alone.

Dini, try and speak to Disney and Eurostar, see if they will move the holiday dates for you first. You can always ask and appeal to their better nature.

Insurance should cover you as you were travelling together. Who has the insurance and whose name is the booking in?

Thats the trouble, though, we weren't travelling together. 2 different bookings. They were going from Ireland by ferry, and I was going from London by Eurostar.
Plus, I am booked into the Explorer and they were booked into the Cheyenne. I have my own travel insurance.

Have you called them dini? I think that is all you can do, call an ask if they will let you book for another time.

    Yep, called Eurostar. No joy.
Never mind. Am thinking of doing one nght, getting some bits for the kids, and going to them instead while sil is in hospital.

You know, the room was a bit crummy for the money we paid in HNY (£1300 for 4 of us) and I did not feel it very special. It did not seem very 'Kid Friendly' to me. They do have kids stuff there was I was always worried about the kids making too much noise as it seems very 'posh'.

Still not booked for 2012 Dreamer - we are off to WDW at Easter and we only got back from DLP last week. We got Butlins in 7 weeks and then I am off to Butlins for a girly weekend (and my 40th! No Kids! yay) 7 weeks after that. Decisions, decisions......

aaah, same here (well nearly) we have 2 butlins trips this year and obviously now booked Disney Hotel (YAY!!!) we are going to do WDW in a couple of years my eldest doesn't want to go next year as Fantasyland shut!!

I do know what you mean about HNY but it never seemed to be a problem and kids were always made to feel welcome even in the bar in the evening!!

Well, have now booked a flight from Paris, (well Beauvais) to Ireland so will spend 2 nights at Disneyland, pick up a few souvenirs for the kids, and have a slightly different sort of break!
If anyone will be in DLP for Monday13th/Tuesday14th, I have 2 adult and 2 child tickets for Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show going spare. Tuesday night, 9:30 show, category 2.
They will only get wasted otherwise....
They were the discount ones so cant get them refunded.
    PM me if interested.

Sorry to hear about your SIL, hope she's ok soon.

There were a few threads a few pages back on shuttle buses to Beauvais that's worth reading, if you haven't sorted it out aready.

The shuttle bus from the airport to Disney is 30 euro adults each way, and 24 euro for kids up to 12, so 216 euro return
10.30 from the airport, 13.10 into the park.

Thanks, sadly the times dont match.
My Ryanair flight is at 9.30 in the morning. (Seemed like a good idea at the time)
I will probably use shuttledirect.com, as I have used them in other countries and had no problems.
Have had a quote of £70 for transfer DLP to Beauvais.
