    Quick update...

    I have

    Booked the 57 Euro tickets (x3) - £153

Booked the Ferry Crossing (with a 10% discount code - thanks MSE) - £45

Now I have a choice of Hotels

    Explorers - £296 for 3 nights
    Kyriad - £332 for 3 nights
Magic Circus (was Holiday Inn) - £196 for 3 nights

I'm swaying towards the Explorers as they have a pool that we can use on the Friday night (we dont get there until mid afternoon Friday so my tickets are for Saturday day) but has anyone been to the Magic Circus as £100 is a big saving and I use that money in the park instead.

Also the French tickets - In my email it says something bout collecting them at the gate - has anyone used these - do I just need to take my email confirmation to the gate?

    Thanks

    Stokegal

I would definitely recommend the Magic Circus, its a great hotel and the pool area is brill too :T. I've stayed at both the Explorers and Magic Circus, and would choose the Magic Circus over the Explorers.
  • Lycam- thanks for reply.

The tescoclubcard thing was baffling me. (Not that it take alot)

Thanks for explaining it. Oh well, looks as if we will just have to find the money from somewhere.

I am now considering just going into disneyland paris the once. Don't think I could get enough money for twice.

    Thanks again.

The 57 euro two day passes are about the same price as expedia for 1 day

I've stayed at Magic Circus & would highly recommend it. It has a pool, which although not as adventurous as Explorers, is still decent.

Thanks - I'm going to enquire about the magic circus as the bunk beds come with a weight restriction for 2 children, but it would be 3 adults and 1 child stopping in the room.

Also does the Magic Circus have car parking? And a mini fridge? The breakfast has rave reviews can anyone confirm this? Sorry for the questions but I'm sooo excited :)

I'm just looking at my meal times now - think I definitely want to do Cafe Mickey for lunch one day and Buffalo Bill show for dinner one night but I just need to find another evening meal and a lunch - does anyone have any suggestions?

We went in March and loved the Inventions restaurant inside the Disneyland Hotel. You can book a table at City Hall just inside the park. It was about €50 per adult but well, well worth it for both the food and Disney character interaction.

Came back yesterday and would HIGHLY recommend the Character Tea Party at the Cowboy Cookout.

It starts at 4.30 and lasts an hour and a half. The characters come out and go for breaks but around 5.30 a lot of people leave (thinking it is the end) but the characters come out again and we got them to ourselves with 5 other families. :D

Well worth the £15 each ticket. It was just desserts and sweets which the kids thought was hysterical (what, sweets, for tea??) but it was nice to get some time away from the madness as they do not seem to fill the place. To start there was a real scrambe for the characters but everyone was told to sit down and they came to see us loads of times. Just a little wave and they would come to the table and they had a few birthdays there and they made a real fuss of the birthday child.

There was a man and lady singing Disney songs country style and the characters were dancing. We have done a lot of character meals at DLP and Florida and this has to be, by far, the best, for minimum money.

the general rule for the bunk beds for the DLP hotels is weight restriction of around 11stone, if that helps?

it does have car parking, all the associated hotels do. I'm struggling to recall a mini fridge to be honest - what does the room descriptions say on their own website? Loved breakfast at the Magic Circus, loads of hot and cold buffet options.

I like Annettes Diner (but you can't make a reservation for this, so best to go just before the main park closes if you want to eat here) and the hotel buffets (Sequoia Lodge and Newport Bay Club ones are great value in my opinion, and you don't have to be a guest in the hotel to eat there).
For lunch I'd go for Restaurant des Stars in the Studios if you want a great value buffet, or Walts in the main park for their express lunch menu.

    hope this helps,

    Hi guys,
Looking at booking for October half-term; 27th-30th October. Definitely want to stay in one of the on-site hotels - we like being able to come and go from park/room as freely as the on-site hotels allow... + we love the Magic Hours!! Cheapest hotel is no doubt going to be the Santa Fe.... any general thoughts on this hotel -- is it worth the extra £15 or so per night to go to the Cheyenne, which we liked last time?

WHEN is the best time to book for October half-term? If I book before 30th June, I get this 25% off deal - it's currently coming in at £931 for 4 adults at the Santa Fe. Which seems ok, but I went 3 days before Xmas last year, and was paying £800 for 4 adults at the Cheyenne - a much better deal. I realise prices have maybe gone up and that it's half-term etc etc, but basically, do you think £930ish is the best price I'm going to get? We're wondering if it's worth the gamble of waiting til after 30th June and then hoping some other offers spring up... But it's a gamble, cos we also think that prices could well go up, and availability could well fall the longer we leave it.

Last question - have you booked through any other websites other than the official Disney one? Peace of mind says go for Disney, but I've looked at the likes of:
    aholiday.co.uk
    and
    disneylandparisdirect.com
which come in at cheaper prices (£904 and £916 respectively). I'm pretty sure these are exactly the same packages as the official Disney ones (and hopefully include Magic Hours?) ... but just wondered if anyone's used them and can verify their authenticity?
Likewise, if anyone can recommend other websites so that I can get the best possible deal, please post away!

    Thanks guys.
