Disneyland Paris/EuroDisney - Questions & Answers

Hi All
I have been reading through some of this thread for inspiration as I am planning a trip to Euro Disney in September.
Price is a big factor and I have been looking at the following
Friday - Travel by Euro Tunnel (£100 return)
Stay at the Explorer Hotel - Friday, Saturday, Sunday (£295)
2 day Disney Park Pass for Saturday and Sunday (Have seen the link for the French tickets for 52E)
Monday - Travel back via Euro Tunnel
Have you looked at the Disney site? They have the Santa-Fe for £546 for 2 nights on the 9th or 16th Sep. This includes tickets for 3 days. You could then stay in an off site hotel on the Sunday before driving back to the tunnel on the Monday. There are plenty of hotels just off the motorway, should find something for around £50 for the night. You could save £50 by using a ferry rather than the tunnel.0 -
Thanks - I've looked at the Disneyland hotels and I'll look at that option I'm not going to get there till late afternoon Friday and after a long drive I doubt we will want to go into the park until the Saturday which is where the 2 day tickets would have been perfect.
I have seen on the French Disneyland site that they have a 2nd day for free charging 40 euros for the 2 day pass but I have translated this and cant figure out if they can be used on consectutive days. Here is the t&c's
2ème visite gratuite!1ère visite jusqu’au 11/09 en week-end et jusqu’au 13/09/11 en semaine. Les 2 visites doivent être espac!es au min de 7 jours. 2e visite jusqu’au 20/09/11. R!servation min. 5 jours avant la 1ère date de visite
Which google translates into
2nd visit FREE! first visit until 11.09 at weekends and on weekdays until 13/09/11. The visits should be spaced 2 minutes to 7 days. 2nd visit to 20/09/11. Reservation min. 5 days before the date of first visit
Is there anyone who can translate this please?0 -
From my very rusty French I'm pretty sure your translation is mostly right - apart from the crucial bit! Les 2 visites doivent etc (presuming that min is used as the abbreviation for minimum) means "the 2 visits must be separated/spaced by at least 7 days" 2nd visit until/up to 20/9.
Sorry!0 -
That's how I read it, the two visits must be spaced a minimum of 7 days apart.
on the disney website
- 2ème visite d'un jour à effectuer au minimum 7 jours après la 1ère visite et au plus tard jusqu'au 20 septembre 2011.
second visit to be carried out a minimum of 7 days after the first visit etc.0 -

Thanks... I did think that but live in hope- 40E for a 2 day pass would have definately been pushing it

I think the 57 euro ones have been best so far.0

I have tried my best to read all this thread but not sure I have followed/understood it all.
Anyhow we are going in 3 weeks time. We have accommodation and travel to get there all booked and paid for.
I need to buy 2 adults and 3 children's tickets/passes for most definately one day but preferably two days.
I thought tesco clubland would be best way to go as they are £29.50 each but I only have points worth £60. Therefore, would I be cheapest buying two from tesco and the rest from expedia (this was mentioned a few posts back).
I am also not really sure how tesco clubpoints work. I was wondering if I bought alot of shopping from there over next few days if that could accumulate enough points for me to buy the other 3 tickets through them.
Hope this makes sense to someone.
Any advice greatly received.0 -
Quick update...
I have
Booked the 57 Euro tickets (x3) - £153
Booked the Ferry Crossing (with a 10% discount code - thanks MSE) - £45
Now I have a choice of Hotels
Explorers - £296 for 3 nights
Kyriad - £332 for 3 nights
Magic Circus (was Holiday Inn) - £196 for 3 nights
I'm swaying towards the Explorers as they have a pool that we can use on the Friday night (we dont get there until mid afternoon Friday so my tickets are for Saturday day) but has anyone been to the Magic Circus as £100 is a big saving and I use that money in the park instead.
Also the French tickets - In my email it says something bout collecting them at the gate - has anyone used these - do I just need to take my email confirmation to the gate?
Thanks

I not been there so can't recommend it personally, but magic circus have a pool as well.

With Tesco clubcard the points are not available to use straight away, you need to wait for them to come through in your next statement which I don't think is till August now so you wouldn't get them in time. Also you get 2 points for every £1 spent and a point is worth a penny so you would need to spend £1475 to get £29.50 for a ticket.0
