Disneyland Paris/EuroDisney - Questions & Answers

We are looking at going to DLP for the first time at the end of September (we have only ever been to Florida before) but I am waiting to see if there are any betters offers. We were going to book when the 30% offer was on but then I read on a few websites that they normally offer 40% and sometimes 50% off.
Does anyone know when these normally come out or is it just a case of waiting. Any help would be appreciated.
its just a case of waiting I'm afraid - they have offered 40% off for the last 2 years, but no-one knows for sure if they will offer it this year.0 -
Have been reading this thread with interest over last few days, as am a DLP virgin but considering a holiday there next year for OH's 40th birthday.
Just a few quick questions - when will dates for April next year become available to book? We will have to go in school holidays as DS is 7 by then and OH is a teacher.
My DD will have turned 3 by then - is it likely to be much more expensive for us if we go after she is 3, as opposed to going while she is still 2? I see that under 7s play and stay free at the moment so her being 3 wouldn't be a problem (except for the fact that my DS will be 7 by then!)
If we were to go this year whilst they are younger it would have to be Oct half term. Is the park really 'Halloweened up' then? We don't do Halloween and I think my 2 yr old wouldn't like it anyway, so don't want to go then if we are surrounded by Halloween themed everything.
Great thread by the way - loads of useful info.

the prices for DLP are released twice a year - once for winter dates (November up to the very beginning of April) and once for summer (April to beginning of November). The winter 2011 dates aren't released yet, expected estimated end of May now I think I've read. So Easter holidays next year (early-mid April?) will be published at least 2-3 months after that.
Halloween at DLP is very themed - but not scary themed. Its orange and pumpkins - and orange pumpkins :rotfl:.
If you don't mind the cold and are happy to wrap up warm, Feb half term would be the best value for money for you if you have to go in school holidays. Its generally the quietest of the UK school holidays at DLP, usually under-12s stay and play free (so both your children would be free) and there are usually better discount offers for the winter season, compared to the summer one.0 -
Thank you balletshoes.
Have considered feb half term, but was a bit unsure as have read posts on here from people who've visited then and said it was disappointing (no characters wandering around, things being refurbished etc). Will keep an eye out for winter dates, and see if the price difference is enough to convince me!
Thanks again0 -
Quick quetion.
Considering DLP next year, was looking at stayin gwith Eurocamp for 3 nights, but looking ta park might work out same price (ish)
We are adults 3 children family, (youngest will be 4, eldest 9) Am i right in thinking tht we will have to have 2 rooms?
If this is the case, is the Davy lodge better option?0 -

I see your point, and to be honest, the best thing about waiting until after the 1st week of April 2012 is, it then becomes 20th anniversary year at DLP - so the park will be at its sparkly birthday best.

I'd definately recommend going for the 1 week of 'Xmas' just after fireworks night going Mon-Thursday. It is usually pretty quiet as it follows the French Bank Holiday and which chilly, it is not that bad.0

For the person asking about May half term, there is hardly any availability for that week. Certainly nothing in Santa Fe, Hotel Cheyenne, Sequoia Lodge. We are trying to change hotels but it seems there is nothing from 29th May til 1st June. 1st June om it will get very busy becaue of the bank holiday so we want to check out this day. I'd have thought that the Eurostar would be full too but driving would be an option.0

Does this apply to offer 1 only or offer 2 as well?
Today I called DLP to price Disneyland Hotel for May 29th and lady from Disney told me to call back tomorrow for a discounted price. Trying to find out whether I'll get get 15% off £1800? 25% would be fab but I do not think we'll get that because of the date.0
