Can I have some advice please? We would like to take the kids to disney September/October time, to make it affordable we will go just for the weekend. My plan is to go straight from collecting the kids from school, travel the friday, stay somewhere fri night (either disney hotel or travel lodge etc) then have saturday and sunday at disney, sat night at a disney hotel, and travel back sunday night.
My questions are - is the best thing to book the two days/one night direct through disney? Santa Fe hotel seemed the cheapest, is it actually an ok hotel? Are there shuttles?
Does anyone have any recommendations for the friday night (there isn't a 2 day/2 night option through which is why I thought of holiday inn/travel lodge etc - which is closest?)
Any recommendations for fastest/cheapest combination of travel? We are about an hour out of london - I'm guessing the eurostar?
Finally, any other advice or suggestions will be gratefully received, thank you0 -
You might find it cheaper to go Oct half term mid week. Weekends are hideously busy and it costs double to stay on Friday/Saturday night than it does other nights, so for this reason, a mid week stay in half term might actually cost you less.
Travel, we are an hour out of London too and are driving this time. The ES is convenient but with train and check in we reckon we can drive and go on the eurotunnel in the same amount of time and for less cost (2 hours to the tunnel, an hour to cross and 3 hours the other side). We are staying a night at CDG Airport in the Holiday Inn, the DLP hotels were expensive just for one night, and those further away that were cheaper you needed a cab each way for if you are not driving, so bear this in mind too. There are a lot of hotels to choose from though.
The park tickets last a day either side of your 'night'. If you wanted to book 2 nights, book the one night, 2 days option and then tag a night on using expedia or by calling DLP. They do cost a lot more, even with my shareholder discount it was almost £200 for the one night in Cheyenne mid week. Ouch.
ETA: Santa Fe, we will be staying there in a few weeks time (yay, that came around quick) and yes, there are shuttles but it is easily walking distance too.0 -
hiya when choosing your specific seats on the eurostar is there a cabin or seat which is better to go for? obviously with tables but where abouts on the train?
thanks
also the best price i can find on any eurostar is :
London St Pancras Standard to Disneyland Resort
4 x Adult (@ £59.50)
2 x Child (@ £40.00)
Disneyland Resort to London St Pancras Standard
Non flexible 4 x Adult (@ £34.50)
2 x Child (@ £22.00)
=£500 return
im assuming these are the cheapest prices i want to be looking for?0 -
Those prices are quite good. Have a look at Leisure Select or whatever it is called now, sometimes just a few ££ more each and you get free breakfast/tea/coffee which will save money at the station too. Plus LOADS of space for yourselves.0

Hi, I am thinking of going to Eurodisney this summer. My dad lives in Paris and as I don't wanna go on my own, I'm thinking of taking my little brother with me. Wanna go for two days but will just take the train there and back each day.
I had a look at the annual passes and it looks like that is going to work out cheaper anyway, so am considering getting one for me. Now my little brother is 13, so I guess ticket wise it'll count like an adult, but I was wondering if there are any discounts available for annual pass holders if they take someone along. I.e. me buying myself an annual pass and then paying for my brother on the day?
I couldn't find anything on the English part of the website and my French is a bit rusty, but there is a line on there that looks like I could get 10% of a standard price:"10% sur le prix de votre billet 1 jour pour une visite le jour même, les jours de restriction uniquement à l'entr!e des Parcs Disney®." But I might be getting that wrong.
Does anyone know?0 -
