Does anyone know if Magic hours come with staying on site or do you need to do something extra to use them?
Also with fast passes, how do you get them/do you have to pay?
Is the Princess dinner in DLH dressy/casual? And is it good?
Off to HNY on Friday!!! Quite excited.
Hi Freddie,
EMH are included if you stay on site, you just waltz on in anytime you want after 8am. You can take your breakfast in the park. When we arrived at NBC they only had one time left, Plaza gardens, Tues at 8.15. It was nice for a change of scene but exactly the same breakfast as hotel, and when we had finished brekkie around 9ish we walked straight into Discoveryland.
Fast passes are on the busiest rides. You just put your park ticket through the machine and it gives you a ticket with a time to return later, when we used them we went straight on at our fast pass time. Not always helpful if the time it gives you is 3-4 hours later and you will be elsewhere by then.
The princess meal was very nice. We only ordered for ourselves as the girls wouldn't have eaten very much, they just shared ours. (3yo / 1yo) but the experience was perfect for them. We just wore the casual stuff we wore all the time, jeans... the girls wore their princess dresses, and I noticed that it was hard to spot girls who were not dressed up there.0 -
Quick totally random quesiton, how much roughly do the postcards cost?
The cards started at 0.50euro for some scenes of the castle. Most of the nice character ones were 1 or even 2 euros. Stamps were about 0.70euro. After I had purchased 10 cards we found there were 2 in the drawer of our room at Newport bay club that had a nice pic of the hotel, suitable for elderly Aunts etc!0 -
For all you people with princess girls, did you know you can do Princess for a day, which you book in the shop in the Disneyland Hotel, prices range from 40euros for just a make over, to 160euros for the works including dress, wand, framed photo and figurines. Seems expensive but if you were going to buy a dress for your little girl anyway you may aswell do this and make them feel that bit extra special.0

Hi all, have been reading as much as possible on the thread but need to read more tonight.
just wondering if you think this is a good deal £450 for 2 adults one child, september 3 days, sante fe bed and breakfast..park tickets included (does that mean ticket rides?)
If we pay by phone can we get the same packages/prices as online as I think i read on this thread you only pay deposit by phone and online its full payment... would have to only pay deposit for now...
is september a nice time to go? anyone who has been and recommend sante fe please would love to hear your opinions?
thanks
i think thats an okay price - but is that 2 nights or 3 nights? september is a lovely time to go - usually nice warm weather, and midweek after the first week of september when the schools are all back, its very quiet. park tickets give you access to both parks, and you can ride any rides you like in those parks.0 -
Does anyone know if Magic hours come with staying on site or do you need to do something extra to use them?
anyone staying at an onsite hotel has access to Extra Magic Hours, you just show your hotel ID slip (you get this when you check in)
Also with fast passes, how do you get them/do you have to pay?
no you don't have to pay, at every ride which uses fastpass there are fastpass machines next to them - put your park ticket in the machine and it gives you a fastpass ticket.
Is the Princess dinner in DLH dressy/casual? And is it good?
its casual, but lots of little girls and boys dress in their costumes for it.
Off to HNY on Friday!!! Quite excited.
Enjoy! I'm just back, the weather was lovely the last couple of days so hopefully it will stay that way for you.0 -
Yeh I think we may do that then, we get the benefits of the fast track and bits and bobs that way too don't we?
Is it worth going for the discounts they are offering now if we can or waitng for a last min deal?
your park ticket or AP is all you need for fastpass rides, no matter where you are staying. Extra Magic Hours are for onsite guests, or Dream Annual Pass holders, or if you are staying at the Hotel L'Elysee Val d'Europe.
I also think 7 days is too long to be honest - we've just done 4 nights/5days, over a weekend too, and midweek you'll easily get everything you want done in 3 nights/4days.0 -
Ahhh lovely thanks for that, have found flights for £247.40 return for 4 of us with easyjet so will probably book that soon and then wait for nearer the time for booking the hotel.0

We go tomorrow!!
We're on a 2 night/3day package so hoping it's relatively quiet in the park. Weather forecast is fabulous - 19 degrees... which is a vast improvement on our last trip, where we got very wet and cold.
We still can't believe how lucky we were with the price. Cost £654 staying at Santa Fe, on Eurostar and with half-board.0 -

stayed at santa fe last week hotel is clean and comfortable.
breakfast is made up of breads and croissants with some fruit cocktail, ham and cheese also.
perfectly fine if you have early sitting but i would not wait in the silly queues that build up 8.00am onwards.
for the price the hotel is good value i thought, the tickets will most likely be 2 park hoppers so you can come and go as you please.
part of hotel package will also include extra magic hours enabling access to disneyland park from 8.00am although personally i did not find it to be quieter than normal due to the amount of hotels in the area that offer it.0 -
Hi folks!
Expert advice needed please!!!!!
We go on monday, 1 day only, on a Sun deal.
It is for our little girls 2nd birthday, she loves girly stuff, and 'pretty' things.
We also have a 3 year old boy, mad on vehicles. They are both quite brave and love scary rollercoasters.
DS is 115cm tall, DD 95cm.
Can anyone suggest an itinerary, as our time is so short? They won't stay still for long, so shows aren't really on the cards for us yet.
Would be so grateful for any advice, never been before, and are all very excited.
SFG x0
