Disneyland Paris/EuroDisney - Questions & Answers

We got back from our 2 night/3day stay late last night. To be honest, despite what a lot of people have said in their online reviews, I can't fault any of it.
Weather was superb - 19/20 degrees all 3 days.
Park was relatively quiet on Wednesday and Thursday, but naturally quite busy yesterday.
Didn't queue longer than 15 mins for any of the rides.
We used the magic hours yesterday, but only from 9am, and by 9.30 had done Buzz Lightyear and Space Mountain. By 10.10 my wife and daughter had done Big Thunder Mountain (and it only opened at 10.00).
As for lack of characters - not in the slightest. My daughter managed to gain 25 individual character autographs!!
You just need to ensure you read the event leaflet to know where to go and find them.
Stars & Cars on Thursday was a let-down as there was a technical problem, so it was a drive-thru with no show. We saw the show on our previous visit, so stood behind the stage on Friday, resulting in all the characters coming round autographing and having photos. Lilo "stole" my daughter's Disney Express bag to show off to the other characters.
I became the "victim" on Stitch Live - those who have been in it would understand what I mean. Naturally my kids, wife and my parents found it hilarious.
Have to advise that the new RC Racer ride is really NOT for children!!!!
It may be a Toy Story theme, but it's an adult ride.
Would highly recommend the stunt show too.....
We stayed at the Santa Fe which was fine - nothing spectacular but then again, it's just a room to sleep in.0 -

glad you all had a lovely time
sounds like the weather was fab!
Love the look of RC ( but not the queues!!) but I get sick on pirate ship rides and it looks worse than that lol0 -
Hi
Im off to DLP on Monday, have a very excited 3 year old! and Mummy and Daddy excited to, lol
Just a couple of questions hoping someone could answer please.
My daughter is going to be 4 while we are there and have booked Cafe Mickey for a meal on her Birthday, wondering what people thought about the cake you can buy there, cant make up my mind if I should spend £22 on a cake or not!
The other thing is we are going on the Eurostar from Ashford and on the paperwork we have received it says do not forget to stamp your train tickets, is it obvious where we go to get them stamped?
thanks0 -

I did the cake at Cafe Mickey for my girls last week, its a yummy chocolate cake with lots of gooey chocolate fondant icing, and its totally worth the money in my opinion - it will easily feed about a dozen of you, it keeps well (we took ours back to our hotel and were still snacking on it 2 nights after we got it). You will get the box and candles etc to take the cake away with you if you prefer. Best of all, Mickey, Tigger and Eeyore all followed our waiter to our table with the lit-up cake to the birthday music, and my girls were completely surprised and absolutely loved it - they got up to dance with all 3 characters and it was a real highlight of the evening. The cake is 25 euros if you pay for it in the resort (you need to book it at least 24 hours before you want it, so it can be ordered and ready for you at the restaurant of your choice).0 -

thats the reason I didn't ride RC racer too - but the trick with all the TSPL rides is to head there before 10am, or in the last hour of the day that the Studios is open. My girls rode it several times in our 4 days, either by going straight to it in the morning, or choosing the single rider line in the last hour of the park day. They didn't wait any longer than 10 minutes each time doing it this way.0 -
Hi
We were stayed at Sante Fe 14th - 18th March, it was fab.
SurfBowlSC - how great, we have watched and watched the youtube version, I had never saw Stitch before and I thought it was hilarious.
twiglet66 - we too had the cake for the kids birthday - well worth the money for the character interaction.
The other point I would say is that if you do this for the first evening of your visit, your daughter will have met many of the characters and got their autographs, thus meaning you don't have to stand in the que's in the main park as they can be quite long.
We loved Cafe Mickey and went back again for lunch on our last day, we were there 4 nights/ 5 days.MollyJoe0 -
Thanks Balletshoes and Mollyjoe, definitely going to get the cake sorted out, there are only 3 of us going so looks like we are going to be eating cake for a while, lol sounds well worth it for the character interaction.
Mollyjoe we are also going for 4 nights/ 5 days Monday to Friday, how did you find the queues at this time of year?0 -

Ours said the same from St Pancras - I think it just means make sure you put them through the scanners at check-in/passport control. There's nothing special or extra to do.
Also - regarding queues/busy days, Wednesday will probably be the busiest as schools are closed, Friday will be even busier though as it's early weekend.
Generally Mondays & Tuesdays are quieter.
Also, when meeting the characters TALK TO THEM!!!
They will always reciprocate polite and friendly behaviour. We had great interaction and my two kids got better treatment from characters than any other kids we saw.
Stitch played with both my two out in the main studio lot, Jessie favoured my daughter during Stars & Cars, Baloo & Eyeore both went for cuddles with my wife after the photo with the kids.

twiglet66 Que's were fine, we were 2 ad, 3 kids, age 10, 6, 6.
Longest 15 minutes, got fast pass where possible i.e big thunder mountain and buzz.
Tue, Wed, Thur fine but you could see a huge noticable difference come the Friday in the crowd size.
I would second SurfBowlSC - talk to the characters and I found saying please and thank you worked well too as most of the other people weren't bothering, and dare I say it but don't be too english, as unless in a specified area there is no such thing as a que! If you see a character be polite but firm for autograph / photo as the others will just push and push.MollyJoe0 -
MollyJoe and Surfbowl thank you for that, I had know idea that Schools in France were closed on a Wednesday, you learn something new everyday! Will definitely get chatting to the characters, my first job when we get there is to get an autograph book, guess they sell them in all the shops.0
