Thanx for that. That is the hotel I have been looking at and wanted. Which company have you booked with if you dont mind me asking?

I wanted it to be a present for my sons 6th birthday as I cant do him a party this year. I know he will love it and I really want to go but I know I would have to book soon. Im worried tho as dont know best time to take him as he has his school. Usually when its holiday time for schools prices go up, so dont know if i will be allowed to take him out of school for a few days. How long will you be going for?

I hope you and your family have a wonderful time.

Last time I did it we booked easyjet flights into Paris. Worked out a LOT cheaper than their travel package. I would look at the Hotel Chyenne, instead fo two double beds they have rooms with a double bed and a bunk bed, personally I like the theming better, and very little cost difference.

Thanks Amys. Which site did you use to book the hotel? Im going to check easyjet now. How did you get frm the airport to hotel. I have tried the who package for end of febuary and im getting prices for more the £400. I tried expedia and another company but i can no way afford that kind of money, maybe its coz i put 4 nights I dont know but i dont want to stay for 2 nights, i want atleast 3 nights. I use to work for thomas cook in 2000 and things have changed so much, u use to be able to get free nights with some companies.

I booked direct with disney on thier phone line, from the www.disney.co.uk web site, go to travel and then to DLP. Then you can talk to them about the different options. Sometimes, but only sometimes, it is cheaper to ask for a room only from them on the phone and then get the tickets when you arrive. We did that one year, and the room only price was very low. Some of the call centre staff will not give out the room only porces, and some times of year they are not available, but I would think that it would be available for Feb. If you get someone that says they cannot do it just call back and ask them to double check.

However, if you do that you do not get the free child place, so you need to do the maths.

Booked independently and stayed at the explorers hotel, was much cheaper (booked through opodo). Price doesn't include park tickets, but got whole weekend for less than £500 for myself and two kids.Hotel was great and had a pool, free shuttle bus to park. There was nofree kids offer on at this time though.

    hiya!

We booked direct with disney also, like someone else mentioned. Before that we booked with phone and fly and I have to say that Phone and Fly were cheaper.

We are going for 6 days and the school have no problem because the ONLY time my daughter is off school is when we go to Disneyland!...Although its got to be said this is the last time we are taking her out of school (P3)...

we only paid for the aldults as they have an offer on that kids go free between certain dates....(this is not the under 7 free promotion)..this is on every year!

OH another thing is it is always better to book AS SOON as prices come out...if we were booking now we would be about £400 MORE!!!:O:O...
Its not the hotel and park ticket prices that go up..they stay the same its the flights...really shocked me!!!!...well in saying that thats the way it spanned out 3 months after we booked..it might be back to normal now..who knows?:rotfl:

Your son is going to love it...all my 2 year old talks about is mickey!! As for my daughter she is princess mad!!

My friend booked direct too and when she got there, there was no room for her..but they actually TOLD her that since they booked direct...it would be sorted out quicker!!!....how scary is that?

Hope I haven't put you off!!! We have had no problems going there (apart from me getting food poisoning last January but thats another story!!:rotfl: )

Anyway have a blast...its the best place in the world!!;)

love from a Disneyland obssesed mum of 2!!

Thanx poppyolivia, I will check that site. If my brother cant get the time off work then I will be going along with my son as im a single mummy. Thats the problem with the price. I checked for me and my son on one site, think it was the actual disneyparis site and was qouted about £322 but it didnt state if that was travel aswell, I added my brother which was only £20 more.I havent booked yet but I want to book soon as or atleast put a deposit down. Most companies you have to pay the lot 6 weeks before you travel, well thats what it was when I worked in travel but that was nearly 8 years ago, gosh that makes me feel old lol. Thanks for all the advice and tips and I will defo go on that site. Cant wait, im so excited now, more reason for me to never smoke again otherwise I wont be able to afford it lol.xx
  • Don't do the travel via the Disney official site as their prices are horrendous! Best way is to price up all your options via Expedia and also price your travel yourself and accommodation via Disney direct. We were there over Christmas and in fact I couldn't get accommodation via Disney direct but I could via Expedia and traveled with Flybe, the flights with Expedia were pretty much similar as I had priced myself.

As you have a bit of time before you plan to go what you can do is become a Disney shareholder and with just 5 shares you can join the shareholders club for 30 Euros for two years and you will get a 10% discount on your accommodation at Disney and also discount in the restaurants and shops! The cost of the shares including your fees is only in the region of £45 so not a lot of money for good discounts.

You'll find out the ins and outs of that on the DisBoards as poppyolivia has said or let me know if you want further details.

Thank u edinburghlass for the useful tip and advise. I will go on expedia and check. I would of booked soon but my brother said he wants to come and he wants to bring my mum along as a suprise but she lives in cyprus and every year she says she coming over here but never does. I dont really want to wait for them to decide if they are coming or not, so once i got a bit of money saved i might just book as im worried with prices going up.
