    Morning guys

Am getting sooooooooooooooooo excited it seems only last week I posted 100 days to go well it is now only 50 days to go:j:j:j

Can't wait:j am staying at the sequoia we had paid up front for cafe mickey and buffalo bill (always wanted to do that show when we were in america but never did so am excited about that) the third night we'll just snack. I have bought the buzz and woody from disney sstore to take with me as they were £20 but marked as 45E so this way he has 2 for the price of one.

Back to buffalo bills has anyone done it? Is it really dusty? I know there is an asthma warning on it but wondered how bad it is or is disney just covering their behinds?

I have now found in 2 different disneyland paris guides about the pirate/princess dressing up packs you can prebuy to have in your rooms when you arrive for the little ones has anyone done this or know about it?

How up to date are the guides you've read about the Pirates and Princess packs? Only reason I'm asking is I know they trialled this at DLP a couple of years ago, but as far as I know they haven't offered it since.

I saw Buffalo bills in 2007 and its fantastic :D

I accidently told the staff (when booking the tickets half asleep) that i have asthma and they refused to sell me a ticket due to the dust, until i begged them, then they made me sign a disclaimer saying that i had been advised not to attend etc.

We were sitting in the 2nd row from the front and the dust was pretty bad at times. Im not sure if the show has changed in the last 3 years, but when i saw it there was several horses in the arena at some points and the sawdust and hair from the animals was really being kicked up into the air at some points. Imagine quite a deep layer of dust with several large horses/cattle running around at speed and im sure you get the idea! I was fine, as although i have asthma knew it wouldnt effect me as i have previously worked with horses, but one of my group was really coughing all the way through, which made us wonder of he has a allegy to horses hair as doesnt have asthma etc.

I'd say if there is anyone going with you who may be effected then maybe ask if you can be seated further back (although then if they ask why, you may have the argument i did getting in at all.)

    Hi
we are off to France two weeks today and are staying at DLP 1st to 4th September I can not wait!!! We are staying at Davy Crockett as we are a family of 5. I'm still umming and ahhing about a character meal, would you recommend breakfast, lunch or dinner and which venue? My three girls have sorted all their toys and clothes out and car booted over £400 to pay for treats including the meal so I'd like them to have the best experience (to reward their MSE tendencies!) They are not overly girly so are not too worried about the princesses but meeting Eeyore or Tigger would make thier day! Also can I ask does booking a character meal mean you have to have a set meal or can you order anything from the menu?
Last time we came we booked through TC and got a small goody bag for the kids with pencil, autograph book etc. out of interest do you get anything similar from Disney as we booked book directly with them ? If not i'll need to take bits and pieces with me.
    Thank you

    Hi

Well done those MSE girls of yours :)! I do think a character meal is worth it - you get to see up to half a dozen (occasionally more) characters while you are having your meal, no scrumming, each character comes to your table for pictures and autographs.

My daughter isn't really into the traditional princesses either, we always go to Cafe Mickey for dinner for our character meal. This is the only character lunch or dinner where you can pick from the menu and pay accordingly - the other character meals are a set price, regardless of what you eat. We share a pizza and a starter or dessert between us (the pizzas are huge), we both like the pizza there so it is our dinner (no nipping off to McDonalds after because we're still hungry ;)) and that way its no more than about 30 euros total, for one adult one child.

You don't get a goody bag for the kids when you book direct with Disney I'm afraid.

    Enjoy your trip!

Oh it's all going against me - I want to go in November/December but have now been told my boss is away for 5 weeks Nov/Dec so the only time I can go is week of the 8th Nov. (I want to see the Christmas theme so that is why I'm going then as well)
I've just seen that 'It's a small world' is shut for the month of November and that there is a French bank holiday on the 11th Nov - argggh!

If you know where you want to eat, it does no harm to pre-book your tables (and if you want to eat at Cafe Mickey, you should definitely pre-book - it gets very busy).
You can call to book on 0033 160 304050.

You will need to call Disney (or go to your travel agent if you booked with a TA) to upgrade, and you must do it before you arrive, otherwise you will be paying the "walk in" rate at your chosen hotel which is much much higher than the pre-book rate.

You don't need to reserve tables through your travel agent, unless you are meaning half board vouchers?/ If you mean prepaying then in fact with the poor exchange rate disney use you dont save anything by prepaying the charatcer meals as opposed to turning up. unless you are meaning half board vouchers?

Thought i'd let people know of the deal i just booked for the Disneyland Hotel, seemed like quite a saving.

I went through topcashback to expedia.co.uk and found 3 nights including all of stay park passes, continental breakfast and free parking in the Disneyland Hotel (17th - 20th Aug) cost: £1326.51
    cash back: £159.24

    £1326.51 - £159.24 = total £1162.27

    2 x adults and 1 x child aged 5

You shouldn't rely on cash back as its not always paid

    was thingking of booking
Auberge de Cendrillon . any thoughts ? was thinking first night lucky nugget saloon as suggested , 2nd night cafe mickey and last night Auberge de Cendrillon. was thinking of booking in advance should I book all now or do you think would change min when we get there?

I highly recommend it if youve got daughters as the princess interaction is brilliant! We saw Ariel, Aurora, Cinderella and her mice, Snow White and her prince and they all made such a fuss of dd and the mouse played with her for ages! We also saw beauty and the beast dance 2 or 3 times during our meal here. We were in here 2 hours due to how much character interaction there was. You can que in the park to see just 1 princess for upto an hour just for 2 mins with a princess.

The food is very nice but small, its quality not quantity here. If you dont use half board vouchers you get unlimited drinks including wine and a free picture pack with cinderella
