  • HI, thats for 23 March via DLP website.
  • How many people are going? kids?
Disneyland Paris (Dream Castle) - January 2010
Fuertaventura (Corralejo, Oasis Dunas) - March 2010
Disneyland Paris (Dream Castle) - October 2010
Disneyland Paris (Kyriad) - July 2011
  • For those same dates ive found Thomas Cook Explorers for £199 with 2 adults and 1 kid, i don't know how many people are planning on going, try using a Website called Alpharooms.com for your accom, and if you can go by Eurostar then do that.
I live in Birmingham and me and my partner are travelling on eurostar for £139 return (direct to Disney) and train tickets to London have cost £39 return for us both.

Hi, I'm a long time lurker but first time poster on this thread. Have gathered some great information over the last couple of weeks and am almost ready to book but have a couple of questions that I hope someone might be able to help me with please?!

We are hoping to take our kids next year for 3 nights/4 days. My big dilemma now is whether to go at the end of March and take advantage of the free dining or go at the beginning of September and hope that there will be some similar offer on then. Has there been free dining offers or good discounts on hotel prices around this time of year in the past? I don't think either time are affected by school holidays.

I suspect the weather might be a bit better in Sept? The flight prices are roughly the same for both times.

The other decider might be the kids ages - ds is 4 in July and dd is 2 in June. I wonder if more rides/activities might be available if they are a bit older?

Does anyone have any opinions on what might be best? THanks very much.

Even in september it can be very cold-or it was when i went in 2007! It was SO cold and thick mist for most of the day.

Id say staying on site is properly the best bet in the cold/wet weather, as its easier to get back to the hotels. Also the disney dining plan, looks to be a good money saver, as food is SO expensive there at moment. September is usually a relatively cheap time to go, but personally i'd say March with the dining plan, would work out as a cheaper option.

One thing to bear in mind out of season, is that rides are quite often closed for refurbs before/after the busy seasons, also there is no fireworks, twinkly light parade (think its called fantillusion :rotfl:) and the parks are not open so long, (unless its a special occasion) so the choice in hotel is more important than in the summer season for example.

check that link out, Thomas Cook Explorer's is coming up at £196, or £266 for a family room, including Breakfast!!! ive used them numerous amount of times, infact i used them to goto disneyland earlier this year in August, they are very cheap! and as i said if you can get Eurostar that will be even cheaper then but if not at least you'll be making a saving on the Room and getting the hotel you want.

  • Thanks Loulou, great advice there.

CDaniels - I'll check that out after tea time! I guess it'll depend on the price of tickets as well if I book via someone other than DLP. Thanks though, definitely something to think about.
  • No problem Wannabe_moneysaver, hope it helps you out a little.

hey wannabe...the cheyenne is the same price as the cheyenne...but it has a wild west theme, and as you pointed out satying at DLP hotel you get the park tickets too.
the prices you have come up with are good too..ours is 904 but we booked it all through DLP. :)
  • Thanks everyone for your help. I'm waiting for a quote so will hopefully get something booked before the weekend.

I received a mailing from WDW, Orlando today (my fav place in the world!)and was temporarily thinking about going there instead. I have my sensible head on these days and realise we couldn't afford it and have decided to go back to the original plan of going there when the kids are older and we've had time to save properly.

So it looks like DLP is definitely on, just have to decide on the hotel.

One more question if I can, does anyone know at what time the parks usually close in March? I'm mindful about what LouLou said about the parks closing earlier than peak times so trying to decide if we should go for a hotel with a pool so there is something else to do.

    Thanks again.
