i have faxed the forms off this morning on the work fax and seems to have gone through ok (fingers crossed) i have included a cover sheet and asked if they dont mind to email confirmation of receipt.

cant wait fingers crossed they sort out quick as my trip is in january and what with the postal strikes looming want it to be processed asap. ended up paying £135 for the 20 shares (including halifax's share dealing) i know its probably more than i would have paid earlier this year but oh well, with my trip in january looming couldnt wait too long for them to drop and also if the pound goes any weaker than the euro then it may not make a difference even if the shares do drop slightly.

also does any one know is salon mickey open year round for shareholders???

Hi, the VDG train is very quick but not cheap, one stop to Val d'Europe, one more to Disneyland. We booked tickets on http://www.tgv.co.uk/, cost about £34 pounds each, children under 4 free. The station is within the airport, but depending on your terminal, about 15 mins walk if I remember correctly. At the other end your come straight out infront of the park, and can leave bags there if needed. Have a great trip.
might be cheaper getting taxi to val d europe as there are 4 of us & £34 is very expensive:confused:

  • Hi,

cant make our mind up between the 2 hotels.(cheyenne and sequoia) 2 adults 1 4 yr old going for 4 nights 5 days early december.

Have stayed at Santa Fe and Newport Bay already so wanted to try a different one.

Anyone on here stayed at both?

Any pro's or cons that might sway it either way?

    Cheers

I've stayed in both but the Sequoia it was too long ago to remember :o Liked the Cheyenne and I think your little one would enjoy the atmosphere and the outside play areas although it might be a bit chilly in December as it was when we were there.

We elected to eat breakfast in the parks on two mornings but enjoyed the breakfast in the hotel as well. Usually we got the bus to the parks in the morning but walked back along the lake in the afternoons/evenings.

if you mean from disneyland paris they dont send you a email confirmation and it took me about 4 weeks to get my card back

I wouldn't worry about it unduly. I had a lot less time when I bought the shares and in the end they faxed me a letter to use instead of the card which was accepted everywhere and had an expiry date of approx a month after my trip. I phoned them and they were very helpful.

Salon Mickeys is open every day the parks are open.

Ive stayed in both and if you can afford it i'd go for the sequoia everyime.

The sequoia is suposed to be fantastic in the xmas season, with a big tree and coal fire etc, and is in my opinion a better hotel. The sequoia is more like newport bay, whereas the cheyenne is very similar to Santa Fe.

The only downside i can see with the Sequioa is that the rooms have 2 double beds, the cheyenne has one double and bunk beds.

Breakfast is much more organised at the sequioa, i found the cheyenne abit of a free for all for breakfast!

The sequioa also has a pool, although i dont know if this is open in the winter.

I'd go for the sequoia, but im sure your have a fantastic time, whereever you stay.
  • We have booked to stay at the Hotel New York in March. We are going on the Eurostar from St.Pancras. Any tips for carparking near the station. I have found Lomax carparking on the web, who charge £13 per day, has anyone else used them and what is their service like?

    Thanks
