well for s start a counter meal is about £10 per adult, £6 per child. thats £26 for 1 meal then there is a evening meal, drinks, snacks. even if you have another burger type meal for evening meal thats still £52 which I doubt you would want, surely youd want a proper evening meal which will of course be more expensive. about £15 for snack as drinks are about £2-£3 each. that leaves some money for souvenirs
most other people ive spoken to recommend to take £100 a day which I did and found it enough
Ah if that includes your meals too then it makes more sense, I thought it was just souvenirs and snacks as posted.0 -
You have also got to remember the pound is down, so it will be even MORE expensive now than last year. It is nearly 1 Euro to 1 Pound so for an outfit that is 60 euros 9which is what my daughters Belle one cost last year, that is about £55 pounds (therabouts i think) - this is what i meant, whereas if you pop in Disney store here beforehand it'll be alot cheaper at about £30-£40.Mummy of 3 lovely munchkins :smileyhea0

We are hoping to go early next year (3rd time) but just waiting to see how my pregnancy pans out before i book as having a few issues at the mo. But if all goes ok, i'll be 7 month pg so have said sod it, we'll book into the Disneyland hotel as it is so central and the luxury factor is something i think i'll appreciate when i'm that pregnant. Expensive but it'll include all meals at premium level, which means we get to do cafe mickey and buffalo bill's show at no extra cost (it is easy to spend over £100 just for two adults and one child in each of these two). It's going to cost us £1200 for 4 nights for 2 adults and two kiddies, but that includes travel, premium food (all 3 meals a day), tickets etc. So we'll just have to take about £50 a day spending. And the kiddies are already saving up for their own souveniers. We have also asked family instead of x-mas presents could they just give £5 or £10 in a x-mas card towards Disneyland
and the kiddies are happy with this.
So expensive, but less stress once we are there - not very money saving mind you :PMummy of 3 lovely munchkins :smileyhea0 -
If you go round a few other travel agents with the price you'll find one of them will beat it.0

Thats actually the lowest possible for our dates unfortunately as it'll be half-term time, but i am slightly happier at the fact that the comapny we'll go with cut £300 off of the previous lowest quote. Staying at the Disneyland Hotel itself is kind of a luxury that you probably get to do once or twice on budgets like ours but hey, its a luxury and being heavily pregnant i'm sure i'll be glad i did rather than climbing aboard that packed bus every morning where no-one gives you a seat even if you have a baby in your arms let alone pregnant .
We have stayed in The Explorers before, if you have youngsters who'll enjoy a fairly decnet ballpit and climbing space to tire them out after the parks close then this hotel is fab. Good moneywise too - there is plenty to do. Also the bus starts here, so you'll get a seatbefore it gets packed going around the other hotels.
We also stayed in Santa Fe, which was just a touch cheaper than Explorers but really crap in my own opinion. We went in May and it was freezing with no heating for the first night as apparently an engineer couldn't be called till morning, and then when we were moved the next room was hardly any better, we were freezing and 3 of us had to huddle up in one bed every night. No pool, nothing to do in the eve apart from the ridiculously overpriced arcade room. If you can afford a bit more, stay in one of the partner hotels, they won't have characters at breakfast but there'll be alot more to do in the eves that won't cost a penny.
If you drive, you'd probably be even better staying in a completely different hotel as i'm sure it'd save a fortune, but we don't drive so aren't lucky enough to do that!Mummy of 3 lovely munchkins :smileyhea0 -

Friday-Ad is actually a better bet - seen some Mulan and Jasmine ones on there for £5 each and you can see them before buying. I was put off on ebay as i bought a Sleeping Beauty outfit that ended up stinking of ciggarettes :mad: and was pretty dirty. I paid about £13 for it too and had to leave it to air out in the garden for days and soaking it in fabreeze.
I probably just had a bad seller mind you
I also bought the two girls i'm taking a little disney suitcase each on friday-ad to get them ready and excited - My DD is really excited she talks about going back all the time, she thinks we are going for her 4th birthday but it'll actually be two months before as i am due a few days before her birthday:rolleyes:.Mummy of 3 lovely munchkins :smileyhea0 -

Hmm sounds interesting - i'd like to know too as we'll probably be going each year until the kiddies get older. Even though it is just a hyped up theme park the kids do stay occupied the whole time which is a massive break for you as parents.
I can't wait till my daughter will be happy going on a beach holiday - she hated it last time and cried most of the holiday (she was just 2 though but hated the sea)Mummy of 3 lovely munchkins :smileyhea0
