any body on here in the disneyland paris shareholders club?? just wondering what your experience is like as i am considering especially for the discounts at the resturants, shops, spa, annual pass etc, not to mention share holder booking discounts?? i am considering buying via the halifax share dealing account just wondered how long it took to get the memebership sorted and if you think its worth it?
ive got shares and am with the halifax, it only took a few days to get it sorted but this was made quicker by the fact im already a halifax customer
def worth buying share altho ive not used them yet plan to get a lot more than my moneys worthWins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0 -

we got the middle passes think they were arround £129e each and that got us into both of the parks

i went onto the french disney site and did alot of translating via google lol
but it was definatly worth it as we used them for 5 days and are just about to return for 7 days hope that helps0 -
Apologies - I don't know how to get the original msg in your reply but I'd like to reply about the Eurodisney shares. We have them and I'd recommend them if you plan to make more than one visit as I'm sure you'd recoup your investment - plus you keep the value of your shares of course.
You can find out all about it here - http://corporate.disneylandparis.com/shareholders/index.xhtml and the shareholder club benefits are listed here http://corporate.disneylandparis.com/shareholders/shareholders-club/index.xhtml#contentj
Check the details but when we looked into this a couple of years ago you could either buy 5 shares and pay a 'fee' every 2 years to retain the benefits or buy 20 shares and then that's it - no fee for ever. We opted for the 20 shares which are currently worth £111.
We've never managed to make use of the discount on hotels or passes as we've always found a better deal on the Disney site (and you can't combine the deals). We've made a lot of use of the 15% off of the restaurants and onsite Disney stores though - I'm sure we've recouped the money that way, plus we still have the value of the shares. (NB. Obviously I'm not a financial advisor type person but I don't think anyone should ever consider these shares as an investment - Eurodisney remains in the red, and we bought a couple of years ago at £127.50. In the last couple of months they went down to £50 something (would have been a good time to buy!) but they've had a massive jump in the last 2 months - but I guess that's just the strength of the euro/weakness of sterling.
You can also get 10% off of spend in Disney shops in the UK which has been useful.
One other benefit that has been useful for us is access to Mickey's Salon. Unless you're a Shareholder you can't access it and it isn't widely known about elsewhere. Its this exclusive olde worlde style lounge just past the park entrance thats open until noon where you can take a break and have free drinks (or stock up on your bottles of water) and snacks - those Mickey Mouse buns with the chocolate filling - yum!
To help keep our costs down in May this year we stayed at the Pink Palace (I know keeping costs down and staying there doesn't make a lot of sense but keep with it), we went into the parks with our 3 year old twins as early as poss to make the most of the EMH and then returned for a late breakfast (served to 11)- say 10ish - with no queues & loads of characters until 11. We then went into Salon Mickey before 12 for a quick drink and a snack if hungry (or sneaked the buns into my empty click 'n' seal boxes) and didn't need lunch. (DLRH is past security so no one asks you about taking snacks or bottles etc into the park). We had some fruit and nuts etc that I bought from the UK back in the hotel (and topped up from the train station) if we were hungry at 'nap time' but then we lasted until dinner.
My shares are now with Halifax as they don't currently charge an annual fee.
I found out all the info about buying shares etc on the Disboards. But I've subscribed to this thread (we want to go back soon!) so if you want any further info, post away!

anyway here you go http://www.dlrpmagic.com/guidebook/your-visit/booking/annual-passports/
".... In most cases, your final Passeport Annuel ticket must be picked up from the Bureau Passeport Annuel just to the left of the Discoveryland entrance in Disneyland Park (it's easy to spot), even if you paid over the phone or at the park gates. This is to allow full documentation to be signed and your photo taken for the pass. The only exception is for passports bought at the rather Passeport Annuel desk at the entrance of Walt Disney Studios Park, which can print its own annual passports, but only opens weekends and school holidays.."0 -

fnac has run out of the cheap disneyland tickets, they're now 37 to 45 euros. Does the cheaper ticket "deal" come and go or was this a one off?0

Hi,
cant make our mind up between the 2 hotels.(cheyenne and sequoia) 2 adults 1 4 yr old going for 4 nights 5 days early december.
Have stayed at Santa Fe and Newport Bay already so wanted to try a different one.
Anyone on here stayed at both?
Any pro's or cons that might sway it either way?
Cheers0 -
Your 4 yr old might just love the play area in Explorers. My 3yr old did - and its good for money. We also stayed in Santa Fe and were really dissapointed. I hope that helps a bit!Mummy of 3 lovely munchkins :smileyhea0

yay. got the shares now, bought them this morning.
i am right in thinking all i need to do now is the form and send that with a copy of the contract notes?? does any one know if they accept the applicatons via email as opposed to posting of fax??? as i am worried they wont accept the print out of the contract notes as they seem to want origionals according to their forms.
am i missing anything else that i need to send (i have bought 20 shares, so dont need to include the fee)
sorry not very good at these sorts of things lol and want to get it sorted asap!MFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..0
