    Slightly rushed query :o

Sister and three friends planning on visiting Disney. Eurostar works out at £49 return and youth hostel about £50 for two nights (both prices are per person).

The Disney tickets themselves are showing as £41 per day when a specific date is selected.

Does a total of £140 per person seem reasonable to you experts? I had a look through recent thread links and couldn't find anything similar through any sites mentioned, so any help would be appreciated. Expedia doesn't seem to want to load any results.

    That's a bargain :)

where is the youth hostel ?

as if its quite a way from DLRP they will have added travel costs to get to there

also food is really expensive so they need to add that to the budget
  • Hi, I'm going to Disney in May and have been twice before just wondering what the prices for food and drink are like at the moment ? With all the drama with the Euro i don't know how much spending money to take this time around ? Any advice would be great thanks !

take more than you think you need !!
it never has been cheap - and its even worse now.
    (i was ther last month)

    Give u an example...

We had a meal in RainForest Cafe 1 night
    2 adults, 2 kids (10 & 5)
they had an offer of kids meals half price (EUR 7.50, instead of 15.00)
all we had was 1 main adult meal each, plus 1 drink each
that came to £55 !

    How are you getting there?
Please take the time to have a look around my Daughter's website www.daisypalmertrust.co.uk
    (MSE Andrea says ok!)

Half board is brilliant, we had HB+ £186 for 3 days = 9 vouchers (3 adults)
We ate at : Cape Cod (buffet) - Newport Bay Club / The Steakhouse (Disney Village) / Annette's Diner (Disney Village).
The voucher was for starter, main meal, dessert and soft drink (large).

We didn't need to pay anymore to the bill for all 3 places :T

The meals were big and with a big buffet breakfast included we really didn't buy much during the day.

So £186 for 3 days (adults) all inclusive meals was just the best value. (£20.67 each per meal). Our DS being free for 3 days (11yrs) was a mega bonus too.:j

    That was this weekend :)

    - you can have half board standard for a slightly cheaper option - just restricted places to use the vouchers.

you can eat from as little as 10 euros per adult and 6 per child, this will give you burger / hot dog etc, chips and a drink. sit down means of course are much more than this.

HERE is a list of all the places to eat and some of the prices
Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.
  • We got flights with easyjet going to Charles De Gaulle. We tried going to Beauvais last year - absolute nightmare so we have learned our lesson !
  • Is it best to buy tickets at the park or order before we go ? :S

Hi, I've booked HB + birthday party at lucky nugget, going next week 2nights 3days. I'm thinking of eating dinner at Beaver Creek Tavern (Sequoia lodge) 1st day, 2nd day poss. lunch at Parkside diner in Hotel newyork because we're having birthday party at lucky nugget at 5.00 pm,which is laid out with pastry & cake & 3rd day lunch at lucky nugget, as I booked leisure on eurostar so there's a meal in the evening. What are your thoughts on this, any better meal plan.

Also, do I need to ring up & book the restaurants before I go? I'm not sure about having lunch at Parkside diner now as it might be better to stay in the park and eat there, any recommendation??
