The Explorer Hotel will take 6 in a Cabin Room - this might be better for you - it is still 'on site' but a little further away from the other hotels.

I have been searching for these dates to but there is little in the way of Eurostar if this is how you are travelling - there is no Eurostar service on 14th November as this is when they start going into paddington.

Please though, be warned of the French Bank Holiday - call them and ask the date - we went from 5th to the 9th November and on the last day - the Friday - it was rammed - we could not even get into disneyland until after lunch as there were so many people. I would have come home a day earlier if had known so check this out with your travel agent - sorry to sound bossy about it but it was a complete waste of a day and the kids got onto 2 rides all day - and you can't keep a 3 and 2 year old hanging around, LOL. Check this out and maybe lose a day if it falls around this time, thats all. Have a nice time.

here are the dates of the French Bank Holiday:

It falls on 11th - maybe consider not doing the parks on the Monday or going on the Tuesday. Just speaking from experience really.

It was Armastice Day that we did not realise fell on the last day of our holiday - i just looked it up. I think the whole of France was there - plus they had some sort of huge sale on and there were people everywhere with black binliners of stuff. I like a bargain but queing for 5 hours to get into a tent was not really my thing while on holiday!!
  • Lol, where do i begin to start looking!!

Thanks so much, don't think my boss is gonna be to pleased, gonna spend the next few hours searching through all this info!!!

    Thanks :) x

Have a read about this on my post here, we was discussing this yesterday: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=535529

Lots of info, I too have been looking over the last few weeks.

In regard to flying - It'll be much better if you get the train to St Pancras and go by Eurostar as it takes you right to the door and you only have to check in 30 minutes before the train leaves, kids packs are given to them to keep the kids busy - but you will need to get the DIRECT service if you can. Play around with the dates you want and you'll find something. If you go by plane you'll have to faff around with transfers and your luggage - with the train you get on, take the luggage with you, they do the passort and customs bit on the train while you travel, get to DLP station (Marne La-Vallee) you can leave your luggage at the station in the DisneyLand Express and they take it to your hotel (not the ones on the outsidrts though, just the Disney and Partner hotels on site) so you get the afternoon and evening of your arrival in the park and then when you leave you check out of your hotel, leave your luggage and pick it up at the station to get the train home. The tarin leaves around 7pm so you get another full day in the park. Trust me, it is sooooooooo much easier than flying and you get more 'time' for your money. You'd get back into Londond at around 8.30pm so then still time to get the train home. I did see that you were in Warrington, I am not sure on the train times (few hours?) but there is an afternoon service as well.

With the Eurostar you get off the train outside the gates of EuroDisney, drop off your luggage as I said, and then go to the park and then onto your hotel and check in. It really is as simple as that so you do not have to worry about feeling lost and EVERYONE speaks English (except those blokes flogging light up Eiffel Towers outside the park in those drawstring bags, LOL)

However, if you prefer a package you'll pay around £400-£500 (more depending on what time of year you want to go) more than if you DIY and for the same thing. Check out www.cresta-holidays.co.uk or you can book on expedia, Opodo, Thomson (you have to call them to book) you'll find most of the major Travel Companies have packages to DLP. Someone has mentioned yabob but they only have 2 dates available over the next 6 months so I personally would not bother with them as the dates are very limited. I have done loads of research over the last few weeks and nothing can touch the prices than if you do it yourself and you get the exact same thing. You can also book with Disneyland Paris direct on their website and add the flights you want.

I have read there is a transfer from the airport to DLP, there are 2 airports to choose from in Paris but Charles de Gaulle is nearest to the park. The other one (I can't remember the name) is on the other side (so to speak) so the transfers would be much longer. I have flown into CDG but am not very fluent in French and felt very nervous about being 'stranded' with not being able to get anywhere - we did have trouble but luckily I was with a friend so it was not so bad but no-one spoke English, not even the taxi and bus drivers. It is really naff but I do not think I would like to feel so vunerable with having the 2 little ones in tow if going to DLP so this is why the Eurostar is so good and so easy. If you can speak french then i can't see any problem in flying and getting the shuttle buses to the park - but as I said, this wasn't for me from my experience with CDG previously.

All that remains to be said now is to have fun!! And go during November or December as it is 'Xmas', it is great fun!! And kind of weird to see Santa so early in November!!

Seriously, why is everyone bigging up this site?? Yabop!!! 2 dates available for the next 6 months is rubbish in my opinion!! Then one date per month and one choice of the duration of your stay and for the hotel you stay in. Book it yourself and get 3 nights for the price of 2 or 4 nights for the price of 3. Why restrict yourself to specific dates?? They obviously buy these dates in huge bulk and yes, they are a little cheaper than most agents but not than booking yourself. Sorry, but I can't see what is so great about it - unless I am missing something of course? I have seen these and they advertise on eBay too (I found this when I started looking last week) but it is very limited travel dates - and the March one falls on a Saturday - which is nice if you like queueing. I'd not go to DLP on a Saturday as it'll be packed (as Chessington or Alton towers is here on a weekend day. We hate queueing which is why my kids have still not been to Legoland despite their begging!! I can't think of a bigger waste of my time and money than queuing the whole day to get on 2 or 3 rides). My last break ended on the day the French had a Bank Holiday and we could not even get IN to the park until after lunch. After an hour we went off, had an early lunch and came back when the queues had gone but it was a complete waste of a day and for this reason I would never do DLP on a weekend or bank Holiday again!!

Right, that's my rant over!! Sorry if anyone who posted about them is offended but why would you book with an agent that only has one date available per month? Does anyone else not find this a little bizzare  That is like going to a dress shop and finding they only had one dress for sale in one colour and in one size, LOL.

obviously people make their own choices but we didnt miss any time on the park by being in the holiday inn. The shuttle bus was just a five minute drive away and started well before the park opened.

As for the train journey, it was quicker than the shuttle coach, depending where you stayed as they have so many drop off points and trains go faster then buses. There is a direct train that only takes about 20 minutes. (JUst need to plan it)

To our kids the train/bus etc added to the excitement of the holiday

We DIYed again last year in prague and this year in Amsterdam and no way would i go through an agent. Would rather spend the money on the kids in resort!
