  • If you go to this website, it tells you all about the half board options (it's all in Euros though) and list of restaurants.

My question is is it good value?

For example, the half board plus meal voucher is 24 Euros (£16-17). If I went to the Lucky Nugget say, all you can eat is 30 Euros and if you went to the Steakhouse, the set menu is 32 euros. Surely it would make sense to buy the half board option, unless on the half board option you are offered a cheaper menu.

    Does anyone know?

At the very worst you could catch a ferry and try driving to Eurodisney. Ive done the trip a few times myself now and its about three and a half hours from the port of Caen. Alternatively, its a similar drive from Calais.

Try www.cheaperferries.com for savings on ferry crossings.

  • You have to buy half board for your whole stay, which can be quite limiting, we have never bought it but my sister did as they were on tight budget, but she wouldnt bother again as when they got there there was a lot of otherplaces they would have liked to try!!

We did DLP in Feb 1/2 term and had a great time, however, it was absolutely freezing and very windy. I had only taken fleeces and waterproof jackets and we froze! We would spend the morning in the park and the afternoons in the pool in the hotel trying to warm up! It also snowed several times during the week. We ended up buying scarves, gloves and hats. Hopefully you'll be lucky and it will be a mild Feb!
    Enjoy!!

if you are on a tight budget, then i would buy the meal tokens, as it means you dont have to worry about prices when you get there. food isnt cheap, and yes the tokens are for a set menu in most restaurants, but that is for a 3 course meal, and portion sizes are huge, ive yet to manage a main meal, let alone the other two courses. in restaurants not covered by the meal tokens, they can be used at face value towards a meal, with the difference paid in cash.

if on a really tight budget, there is a Mcds in the disney village, and prices are the same as the high street, but other than that, there arent any cheap options - expect to pay around £20 for a main course in the restaurants, which does make the meal tokens seem worthwhile

breakfasts are huge, and its quite easy to slip a few rolls, fruit etc in your bags to take into the park with you (bag checks at DLP are not as strict as USA)

  • I've traveled with them before and had no problems. The number does divert to a mobile because i think most of the time they are in Paris or at the Eurostar terminal in Ashford escorting trips.

we went to dlp in jan 07 and have just booked again to go in jan 08. i chose this because the children go free, and although i have 3, ages 15 6 and 5, with us as well i have to have 2 seperate rooms as it is really difficult to get a family room without paying alot of money. I phoned disney direct and have got 2 rooms in santa fe, travel on eurostar and charactor breakfasts for 932.00 when we went in jan we had adjoining rooms as well so it was just perfect, hotel was clean and warm and the bed was really comfy. We just ate breakfast and to be honest dint worry about lunch as we were to keen to get on the rides. then we had our evening meal about 5.30. we ate at annettes which worked out about 90 euros, planet hollywood, fantastic meal 100 euros and then we did the wild west show. Had a truly awesome time.
Queues weren't horrendous at all, weather wasnt too bad had to buy ponchos but the wind on our last day was bitter, so i shall certainly layer up the boys when we go.
    Have a truly fantastic time.

We've visitied DLP many times in the past 10 years and have found that for us, it is really good value to buy annual passes. I believe it costs around 128 Euros for a 3 day pass into the parks and 129 euros for annual pass which includes certain benefits. A google search generally comes up with information. You can't buy them in advance but it is easy to do so when you arrive. They simply deduct the day ticket price which you have paid from the annual pass tickets.
Annual passes also allow you discount in restaurants, boutiques, car parking and Wild West Show(50% for this year)
We live in Scotland and have actually been as many as 5 times in one year. All on a budget.
