Hi, my 3 year says he want to go to the big castle, with peter pan and mickey. Would so so much love to take him. My DP suggested December.
DS will be 4 on the 10th dec.
I would be grateful for any info, regarding disneyland paris, flight, hotels, passes, transfers.
Have looked on the disney site, coming out at around £1000 for the three of us for 3 nights the week of his birthday. WOW. Not good with christmas so very near.

I would check to see when the 'kids under 7 go free' finishes, as this might have a real impact on the final cost.

When I booked I booked the flights separately from the website to get better prices and times.

I saw on the website that they do extra magic hours two hours before the park is officially open - might be worth going early do you think?

    We certainly thought so.

One option at our hotel was instead of breakfast in the hotel, you could have the breakfast in one of the restaurant in the park instead.

As for cheap places to eat, I don't think there are many. From memory you are looking at €10 for a kids meal & €15 for an adult at the cheapest. Obviously you can pay more depending on where you eat. The cheapest place is probably the McDonalds.

We did eat once in Cafe Mickey, which seemed reasonably priced and had loads of characters come round while you were eating. You'll need to book a table though as it was busy.

    Hi

    take a look at http://www.dlp-guidebook.de/index_e.htm
    and
    http://www.dlpfoodguide.com/index.php

the first has background info and the second is reviews for all the eating places. When we went first we noted down the recommended ones and the to avoid ones and took pot luck from then on.

I always pack crisps and biscuits which takes away (some) of the snack buying, which is quite expensive. Generally the breakfasts are croissants / toast / cereal / ham / yogurt etc and most people (us included) eat well, then make up croissant ham "sandwiches" for the lunch time with a yogurt. People seem to be laden down as they leave the restaurant!!
The drinks are on vend and I take sports bottles and fill them up with orange juice and the rest of the day use the drinking fountains.

Then tea time we eat a good meal, have tried various places, but have found the all you can eat ones to work out the best: plaza gardens, billy bobs to name 2, Cafe Mickey is expensive and we were shocked at the portion sizes, if you wanted a character meal go to the Lucky Nuggett which is an all you can eat tex mex and lovely, It is around £25 adult £15 kid though.

This should last you through til breakfast and it starts again!

It is wonderful though, we've been 6 times and hoping to go again in October.

    Enjoy!

try https://www.yabopdisney.com we found they came in alot cheaper than any travel agents and were cheaper than going directly through disney - one travel agent couldnt even get the hotel for the price we paid for hotel, eurostar and entry tickets

  • I notice people mentioning taking snacks. Does the park not stop you taking your own food in ?

    Plenty of useful information here

BS Transports comes highly recommended for a private shuttle if there's a few of you, 80 Euros one way, 150 Euros return.
  • Apparently there is a direct TGV train that goes from CDG airport to Disneyland Paris and takes only 10-15 minutes for 11.5 Euro one way and is free for under 5s. Their website is https://www.tgv.com

Has anyone tried this because I was thinking of using this instead of the shuttle?

We used the train to get from CDG to Disney last year. Walked out of airport terminal and followed the signs for "gare", abount a 5 minute walk. Bought the tickets at the station. Platform number was clearly marked. Only 1 stop which took about 7 minutes to the gates of Disney. We then got the normal free shuttle to the hotel, but I thhink there is somewhere at the station where you are able to leave your luggage if you want to go to the park straight away. Was very quick, and very efficient.
  • Thinking of going to DLP in Feb 2008 and staying at the Sequioa Lodge. Is it worth booking now or nearer the time to see if Disneylandparis.com will be doing last minute deals?

How busy is it in February?

    thanks
