we are off in a weeks time, just a quick Q... as im worrying now we dont have enough spends..lol
on average how much would a family of two adults and two children age 10 and 2 need for spends including meals for 4 days? just a rough guess as we dont have a clue how expensive things are there..lol

i would say allow £100 for a basic sit down meal (ie burger/chips) in a restaurant, and about £25 for 2 value meals, and 2 happy meals in Mcds, in The Village

£8-£10 will get you a hotdog, fries and drink in the park

£5 will get you a coffee and cake in the park

packet of crisps in the disney hotels, about £1.50

other than that, souvenirs cost anywhere between £1 and £1000s

best way to get souvenirs we found was by buying food/drinks that came in reusables, so coffee in a mug, and popcorn in a bucket, etc. - rather than buying a 'proper' mug, etc. in the disney shops

we are looking at adding hb option onto our holiday, only problem is when i rang they said me and my hubby would have to pay13euros and for our 10 year old it would be 6, however they said you dont pay for our 2 year old?? does that mean she wouldnt get a meal?or would we have to pay for her in at each meal? she may be 2 but can eat as much as our 10 year old so i would have thought she would have needed paying for as i dont think she would be happy eating of our plates????

Weve been twice before my dd was 3 and had to pay for her meals, had to pay for my 2 year old nephews too. Not sure why you cant get meal tickets for under 3s
Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.
  • Hi, I am planning a trip to DLP from the 22nd to 26th of May 2009, for two adults, two children aged 3 and 7 and 1 infant who will be 3 months old. I am not sure if it is a good time to book now or not for the best deal.

I have been quoted £819 fot the hotel Sante Fe and park tickets direct from the Disney website and £445 for flights with Easyjet from Liverpool (live in Preston, lancashire). The flights are good times as I arrive early to DLP and leave late to go home.
Please advise if I am getting a good deal and book now or should wait a little while.
    Thanks!

  • How do we make this thread a front page 'sticky' ?

its a pain trawling through to find it sometimes, and its just as popular as most of the stickies on the front page!

  • It is well worth going to see the tower but there are a lot of beggers around there. Also take a trip down the river siene, it is beautiful(just across the road from the tower) They are often lots of artists selling paintings which are worth a look at, but if you want to buy haggle a bit.
  • Hi guys, may have been asked already but cant find an answer to it.

We are looking to go dlp in may/june with our 2year old.

We have noticed the obvious difference between the price of the hotels on the complex and the hotels that are very near by vi shuttle but not onthe actual resort.

We would of course spend most our time at the parks/villiage etc so hotel is almost secondary.

Our main interest is for our son to be able to see and greet characters etc.

I know you can do this at the disney hotels but can you see them at the park as well?

What are the main differences between staying at a disney resort hotel and say the holiday inn disney resort and the other nearby ones?

DO they provide a disney type experience?

We are looking to go in March for a long weekend (use an inset day) with an 11 and a 14yr old. Where is the best place to stay?
They don't want the character experience so we don't think the disney hotel would suit, they aren't to bothered about western style either. We'd like to be as close as possible.

Do they count as children? I realise that if we fly my 14yr old will be an adult, but what about in hotel rooms? Are the beds big enough for a 14yr old if classed as a child for instance?

I've done loads of research and read the whole thread but just seem confused now

    thanks
