    When do you go?

I go in 2 weeks 5 days :j and have booked half board standard, I also came back from disney 9 weeks ago and didnt book any halfboard plan so It will be interesting to see if i notice a difference money wise.
If im back before you go I could let you know my opinions, I am atm though thinking its a good thing.

14th-20th, for me to upgrade to hb its 225. Thing is, its for 2 adults and 2 kids, one of which doesnt eat much and is very fussy. And the 14th, we probably wont be there till about 7-8pm anyway, so will probably go straight to bed. Im thinking of taking pot noodles and stuff and just doing what we did last year which was to have breakfast and also fill up a bag with crossoints and buns for lunch and snackingt throughout the day.

Yes its trampy , but i dont care, if it enables us to go away again in march or april then its all good as far as im concearned.
    Waddle you do eh?

Hey it's not trampy at all, It's moneysaving :money: :D

Maybe have a look on the disney food guide here:
    http://www.dlpfoodguide.com/index.php
and see what type of foods etc you will want to eat and calculate a rough cost of what you may spend on food and compare it to the £225 for the half board.
    I heart The Capital ;)

would people recommend the train from cdg airport to dlp, two of us are going in february and staying at santa fe, however we have yet to sort out how we are getting from the airport, and looking at the guides, the taxi will be extortionate (around 80-90 euro acccording to one guide book, and now the euro/pound has really changed, it will work out more than we thought when we booked a few months back) had thought of the bus, but heard that can take a while and can be rammed?

are the trains efficient, and how long does it take to get to disney on it from cdg? and is it easy to get to the platform from the station??

also incase of flight/luggage delays, is it best to wait till we land to buy the tickets or should we get them online in the uk?? if it makes a difference, we arrive in paris at 9.05 am on a monday and depart on the friday and the flight is 8.55pm, one concern with buying tickets when i get there is my french is very rusty lol, and given i will be leaving my house on the monday at 5 to get to the airport i doubt my brain will function very well, so doubt they will understand what i am trying to say lol!

We have just got back from a very cold paris. We stayed at a hotel at the CDG airport each day. It will cost just over 9 euros one way for an adult and takes about a hour and a half. Using two trains. There is an english button on the ticket machines, so easy to use. But if you have children got to the ticket office as children 11 or under go cheaper. I could not find a child button on the machines.

  • Hi guys,
I've been following this thread for a while, and just wanted to say thanks to everyone for all the advice!!!! I'm off to Disney on the 5th March, in time for the St. David's celebrations :j.
I'm travelling on the Eurostar from Ashford, and someone told me I could leave my car in the Travelodge car park (am planning to stay there the night before). Does anyone know if this is true?

    Hi there

I work just up the road from the travel lodge, I don't know about leaving your car there, but the travel lodge is the otherside of town from the train station and not sure how you are planning to get there, but its a good 10 minutes drive, and I would give your self 30mins in case traffic bad (it can be very busy in the morning and if memory serves me right the train from Ashford is 9something)

The Ashford International Carpark is really good and secure, we have left our car there a number of times (2x DLP for a week, 1x Paris for a week, couple over weekends for Paris and Brussels, and DH uses it a lot when he goes to France for work) No more than £50 for the week.

Sorry to butt in, but how long would you say to leave for the drive to Asford from the travel lodge?

The train is 9.15 but we have to be gthere arouind 30 inutes earlier and need to park, so I'd say we would aim to be there for about 8.15. What time to you think we need to leave the hotel roughly?

How bad is the traffic? I'm wondering if we will miss the worst at that time?
