Disneyland Paris/EuroDisney - Questions & Answers

I might be wrong but I think thats probably the best price you will get, my cousin is a family of 5 and she found it expensive to stay on site as you need 2 rooms. I might be way wrong though and hopefully someone will be here shortly to keep you on the right track! You may walk and you may run
You leave your footprints all around the sun
And every time the storm and the soul wars come
You just keep on walking0 -

thinking of going to disneyland on a weekend, either aug or sep, family of 5 and the explorer hotel came out at £400-500, are there any cheaper hotels that do for 5 people in one room? also wanted to know about transport, unsure whether to fly there etc
and do disneyland do the guest assistance pass like florida do?
thanks
Yes they do a pass, you need to apply at City Hall. Just read this on another forum so I'd give DLP a ring before you go to find out what you may need to take with you.0 -
Just a very silly question if i may.
DH and I have never been to Disneyland Paris, well DH has as a coach driver. We are both 40-50+ and the only reason considering going is because I have never been and am a big kid! Just wondering however if it really is worth it if you are not into the rides etc? Should we perhaps just do an xtra day in Paris instead sightseeing? Just dont want to spend a lot of money on the Park if not really doing any of the rides etc.
Any thoughts?
Thank you
There's something about Disney that is truly magical and, unless you have been, it is quite hard to understand.
My husband - who was not really bothered about going - absolutely loved it and he said that the rides were almost secondary to the whole experience of just being in the parks.
Whereas you might not consider going to Alton Towers if you are not a ride person, there is so much to see and experience, you can almost forget about the rides. And there are always the shows to go and see and many gentler rides.
Before you know it, you'll be standing on the kerbside, waving to the characters on the Character Express and not being able to get the song out of your head for weeks afterwards.0 -

what mode of travel depends on budget ? location ?
you could stay offsite @ val d'europe,at hotel elysee or similar ( we stayed at the adagio / pierre and vacances aparthotel using tesco clubcard deals !)
should be cheaper and sleep more to a room / apartment
have a look here http://hotels.disneylandparis.co.uk/other-accomodation/hotel-lelysee-val-deurope/index.xhtml sleeps up to 6 in interconnecting rooms
http://hotels.disneylandparis.co.uk/other-accomodation/pierre-et-vacances-residence/index.xhtml apartments sleeping up to 7
both are serviced by a shuttle bus to the parks or its one stop away on the train

just booking our flights for our late nov trip ( using airmiles)
need some advice though!
we don't know whether to get a late flight on the fri night, or wait until early sat morn and stay overnight in Heathrow on the fri ??
as we wouldnt get to CDG until 10.05pm if we went late fri
would this be a problem in getting to the hotel ( holiday inn most prob, not booked yet!) and checking in etc at this time?
anyone usually fly from there can recommend a place to park cheaply? ( we may get the train yet using family railcard) also somewhere to stay over the night before ? ( if we decide to do this)
not flown to DLRP before and am stressing! lol ,really want to get these flights booked now the airmiles have been credited

I'd go with the late flight and arrange shared transport to pick you up then you have a good early start in the morning0

:j i am glad you say that, as that was what i was convincing hubby ! lol
who / where should I book transfers ?0 -
We've used www.rstransports.com and found them very reliable. Haven't used their shared shuttle service, just their Private shuttel but they were very curtious and you can pay cash when they pick you up. Have heard all sorts of horror stories about Paris Shuttle from friends, not turning up, no answering phones etc so I'd avoid them at all costs.0
