  • Hi all,

New to this group and dreading a trip to DLP (didn't realise that it would be so involved and there would be sooo much pressure to get it right).
I have booked for British half term may/june, on the basis that it's not half term in the rest of Europe, is it likely to be any quieter?
I also booked through the french version of DLP website and saved around 1/3 over booking the UK site. Algorithms seem to boost the price during school holidays.
Having read this forum, I'm concerned whether I've made the right choices. I've booked mon-fri with a meal plan (full-board i think), flights to CDG booked direct with the airline and transfers with T2tranfers (any experiences).
Any experiences, opinions, or tips would be gratefully received.
    TIA

You are the expert so this is my question

I want to buy annual passes for our visit 31st August - 3rd September. The offers on here finish in July and there is some question as to whether any purchased through ce-multiadvantages, promoparcs etc will be honoured. Do you know when will the new deals for passes will be available?

We only need 4, with one child age 11, one 15, my daughter 36 and me 65.

It seems that the classic pass would be ok for those dates but could only be used for the 1st day, which won't work for our trip.
However we could fit in any other visits within the time frame for that pass.

Any ideas or tips would be appreciated :)

you have plenty of time to sort out your APs, early April is changeover time for pricing at DLP, including for park tickets/APs. Everything should be stable and available to buy again in a couple of weeks time.

Promoparcs and ce-multiavantages stopped selling to non-French residents a few years ago now, I'm not aware of anyone resident in the UK being able to buy APs from them for a couple of years now.

Supertrips.net are fine to buy from though.

I'm not sure what you mean by the possibility of you buying Classic APs if you can't use them on days 2 and 3 of your trip in August/September, with only a 3-night trip I wouldn't want over half my park time to be barred.

midweek is a fabulous time to go in May half term, lovely weather, low crowd levels, long park hours :).

I wouldn't have booked any meal plan if I had to pay for it - can you cancel that bit of your booking and get the money back? There are loads of restaurants you can't use your dining plan vouchers in at DLP.

I have no experience of T2transfers, but if you've researched them I'm sure it will be fine.

Sorry, what I meant was that I have read on Tripadvisor that you can order the annual passes by filling in forms and having them sent out before you travel. They say that will negate the bar on days 2 & 3 but start when the money is taken out of your account. It worries me and I wondered if you had done it?

I also wondered if you have any idea how much prices will go up?. With the exchange rate plummeting maybe it would be better to get tickets now, if we don't go for annual passes

    Thanks :)

no I haven't done that yet - but its on the cards for my next trip (next year).

prices of APs don't tend to go up more than about 10 euros per AP (if that) when the pricing changes. Park tickets may have a proportionately similar price increase.

Hi. Wondering if someone can help me? I've found a deal for next March going Sunday-Wednesday staying in the cheyenne for 2 adults 2 kids for £426 which I believe is good. Now what I did last time we went was book euro star direct with them during the flash sale. I just done a dummy check to see prices etc and it's saying no eurostar to disney runs on a sunday during January to March. Anyone know if this is true? I'm guessing the tickets for next March come out next month so I don't want to miss them. Thanks for any help :-)

  • Hi I wonder if you could help. I am looking to book for a family of 7 next year and have been comparing prices for March and April. March we are looking at £426 per room for two adults for three nights. In April though it goes up to over £700 per room. Is this normal or will the April price come down?

that could be true, you may have to go indirect via Lille. I'd phone Eurostar next month (ie 10 months prior to travel) and ask them then.

April is the start of a "new" season at DLP every year, and its always cheaper January to March, compared to April to October.
  • Thanks to the useful information on here I have now arranged my trip and accommodation. One quick question if I buy the classic annual passes online on the french website and have them delivered to my home address does that mean that they would be valid for all dates of my trip (except blackouts) and avoid the 2 day restriction after the date of purchase
