Hi arrive in DLP on 26th jan , 20:04 CDG airport will i be able to book a cheap transfer from there to explores hotel 1adult 1 teen 2 kids ? had some really expensive quotes , would prefer a train but unsure on times and speak very little french ,

book rstransports shared shuttle price, you more than likely won't share with anyone else and they will take you straight from your arrival exit to your hotel. It shouldn't cost more than 52 euros each way total with rstransports. At that time of the evening this will be by far your most convenient option, and probably the cheapest too.

also on a tight budget and staying at explores does anyone no if they take deposit/ after booking in ?(already paid hotel for room) , and is there a possibility to add meals when already booked ? any advice would be really appreciated first trip away with 3 kids and would just like to be prepared

the Explorers doesn't require a deposit or any credit/debit card details lodging with them if you've already paid for your room in full.
No, you can't add a meal plan to the Explorers at all, unless you have booked that hotel through Disney.

    Hello

Looking at our first trip to Disney Land Paris.

I have been looking at the sequoia Lodge (seems to be the best for young kids?) on the 26th of May for 4 night - currently for the 4 of us its coming in at £1090 for the four of us which includes park entry. this is through the disney land site.

Is this a reasonable price or should I look around more

We are planning on booking flights through avois as we have enough points.

Also how is the best way to get from the airport to the parks? Train?

Regarding the half board meal you can add on, is this worth the money - (I know the parcs and hotels are supposed to be very expensive for food)

    Thanks for your help

well its half term week, so its going to be more expensive that week compared with the ones before and after it. If you're getting 2 free nights, or a % discount of 35% or more, with that price, then I'd say thats about as good as you're going to get - but I'd still check the French version of the DLP webiste, see if their offer is any better. Remember to check the room type too, the Sequoia Lodge rooms fall into several price bands.

We are planning on booking flights through avois as we have enough points.

for a family of 4, shared or private shuttle transfer, booked in advance, is by far the easiest, fastest, and probably cheapeast, method of transfer.

nope, if you have to pay for it, none of the dining plans at DLP are worth paying for.

    Thanks Ballet shoes.

Yes unfortunately half term - my son is at school. Holidays in the school holidays just seem crazy prices

I just looked on the french website and its looked like €1553 when I was doing it in french, but whne I click on translate to English it shown 1 €533, so I am getting is just an error when chrome translate the page other that that would be a stupid amount cheaper.

So if it is €1553 euro then that seems around the £1090 mark.

Can you actually book through the french site if you wanted to or would you have to call them.

I will not book the meal plans then, and just pick and chose when and where we want to eat:)

    Thanks for your help!

i always cut and paste from the DLP site into google translate, I don't translate on the website itself. But yes, you can book on the French site if you want to, or you can call DLP (the French guest services number is best) to book using any country's offer, regardless of where you live. I always call my bank first though, to let them know I'll be making a foreign transaction (as the bank may block this, depending on the amount you're spending).
  • thanks balletshoes for great advice and quick response :) and also to whoever it was (think it was balletshoes)in early pages who gave advice about booking through the french site for park tickets! saved some money :)

borrow or ebay a cheap umbrella/fold stroller and take it with you - it costs over 10 euros per day to hire a pushchair at DLP, they don't recline, they are very heavy and cumbersome, and you can't take them from park to park, or back to your hotel, without paying a hefty deposit (ie hundreds of euros).

The Cheyenne rooms don't all have kettles, but if yours doesn't, you can ask at reception for one. They don't provide cups or spoons, so take them with you (along with a little bag of teabags, coffee, sugar and any UHT sachets of milk you erm happen to rescue from cafes here in the next couple of weeks ;)).
