balletshoes wrote: »on the official DLP website I'm seeing prices for the Santa Fe for your party (on the 2 nights free offer) of £712, arriving on 1st April, and £746 arriving on 12th April. This included hotel, park tickets, and breakfast, but not travel (I always do that separately, so in your case I'd book Eurotunnel direct through Eurotunnel themselves ).
The Sequoia Lodge, arriving on 12th April, is coming in at £874, for hotel, park tickets and breakfast.
This is the official website for DLP
Ok, is that usually the best way to book or are there better offers/websites to go through do you think? Its a very high price compared to other bookings I've seen on this thread
heres the thing about staying onsite at DLP - as soon as you get to Easter the prices shoot up, and they stay high (in comparison to other times of the year) until the end of August.0 -

Gosh they reall do. So I'm not doing anything wrong or missing any fabulous trixks to reduce the costs then, it's the time of year. Might have to think twice about it then.0 -

no, you're not missing any tricks- but remember if you are tied to school holidays the prices at other times of the year when you can go may not be the lowest either.

Premium+ Cabins are closest to the shop, pool, restaurant area (can't recall the trail names, been a while since we stayed there) but IIRC there are more trails with Premium+ cabins too - the only other extras are robes, slippers, hairdryer, Nespresso machine and wired internet (don't know if wifi is available there now though), compared to the Premium cabins, i.e. Interior, size etc of the cabins are the same if called 'premium'. There were some old style cabins left when we were last there, but they were very tired and in need of replacement.
Whenever I booked online there was an option to be in a cabin near someone else if required, if DCR were able to accommodate this at the time (think you just needed their surname & booking number, but it was well into the booking process) so possibly the same applies for a phone booking? Ask them if this is still the case.
Edit: just had a look at DLP website, they do still offer the possibility of adjoining cabins under special requests.
DCR mention name changes to cabins after 1st April, looks like Premium+ are closest to DCR village area (as is now), then Pioneer, followed by Trapper.
Thank you very much for your help, much appreciated0 -
hi all that's us just booked our flights (easyjet) into CDG airport and we've booked a (very very) budget campsite on the outskirts. we are staying 4 nights Mon-Friday in June, but arriving early in the morning on the Monday so planning on trying not to waste the day too much.
I have scrolled through a lot of the posts here and cant see my answers but apologies if its already been asked.
we need to get from CDG airport to our campsite to dump our stuff. I have spoken to the campsite who have advised we are about 30 minutes in a taxi so I am wondering how much this will cost approximately?
never been to paris, cant speak French and will have 2 excited kids in tow so I want to be prepared!0 -

if you really are only around 30 minutes drive from the airport you should be able to book a private shuttle (taxi booked in advance basically) to take you to your campsite. DLP is around the same journey time from CDG, and shuttle prices are around 60 euros one way.
Try emailing rstransports, ezyshuttle.com, interserviceprestige etc, for prices.
How are you going to get from your campsite to DLP etc?0 -
Hiya all,
Just wondered if anyone has any experience of Disneydirect?
They are currently coming out at £400 cheaper for the dates we are looking to go at the end of Jan than booking the hotel and Eurostar separately which seems a lot cheaper
Having never used them before what are peoples views on them?July 2015 Wins- Shaun The Sheep Goody Bag, 4x Books
Year to date: £786
Total to date ( Since 2008 ) = £37,345 :eek:0 -

The parks are stunningly beautiful, all decorated like a winter wonderland, they run extra shows, parades and surprises, its my favourite season of all to go to DLP (can you tell I'm just a little happy and excited to be going this year
)?
Balletshoes, I know this is from a while back and you say you always go after 11th November, but do they put the decs up before this do you know. Aiming to go in November but before the 11th as DD can't take time off work after the 2nd week of November right through until Xmas itself.
Was possibly thinking of going 1st or 8th November for 3 nights but wanted to make sure its xmassy by then.
OH and DD plus the friends we are going with need to book the time off ASAP but cant find dates for when it becomes their Xmas period over there.
Thanks again.0 -

they won't have all the xmas decorations/park programme events for xmas etc until officially the 9th, but they will unofficially have all those things set up by saturday 7th, so going on the 8th for 3 nights will see you in xmas season at DLP.
