Hi. Advice please?
As I previously mentioned I am looking at going to disneyland February 2016, the prices are now on the official website.
Februay 2016 half term, 4 nights/5days sequoia lodge, 2 adult's 6 year old and 10 month old - £600 without travel. Is that expensive??
Also some more advice, my 5 year old (would be 6 when we go) will love the whole experience. Will going with a 10 month old with pushchairs etc be a bit of a nightmare? Are we best to wait a few year's untill the current bump will be older?
Thanks for any advice.0 -

eta - just noticed you were looking at a price of around £490 for your family for Feb half term 2015 previously, so £600 for the Sequoia Lodge instead is a good price.
Thanks for any advice.
is that price with 2 nights free? If so, that around 40% off, so you won't get a much cheaper price than that on the UK site for UK school holidays. However, if you're prepared to wait, you might find another country's website will do it cheaper if its not French school holidays at the same time.
Feb 16 will be a good time for you to go as a family, as both your children go free. If you leave it another year you'll have to start paying for your 7-year old.
eta - just seen that you were previously looking at Feb half term 2015 and the Santa Fe for around £490, so £600 for the Sequoia Lodge is a good price.0 -
Hi balletshoes, We are off to France at the weekend and planning a day at DLP next week, you previously advised its not advisable to do the 2 parks in one day its also French school holidays,
Is that because of queues for rides or the size of the parks to stroll around.
my grandson is 12yearsI doubt he will want to go on all rides maybe just a few
To get me an idea of the size of the parks I have been to Alton Towers a few times and that does take me a day to get around, is DLP the same sort of size?.0 -

Thanks for the reply, i got it slightly wrong as it is for Santa Fe not Sequoia Lodge! I have re jiggled the dates around and got 4 nights/5days at Santa Fe for £430 but that is leaving on the Friday before the half term. That is with 2 nights free etc, i assume i wont get cheaper leaving it longer? I guess the prices are cheaper as they first come out? What is better? Santa Fe or Hotel Cheyoune, they are both the same price.
Also how much is travel likely to be? in February, probably euro star, 2 adults 1 child and 1 baby? Thank you for your help.0 -
I have just come back from DLP. We stayed in the Disneyland Hotel. It has a much better breakfast than the other hotels. Also, don't underestimate the convenience of being right on the doorstep if you have young kids.
As for spending money - we barely spent anything. We had half board and didn't really need lunch - as we ate breakfast late, got a free "tea time treat" ie a coffee and cake and dinner was included.
Cafe Mickey is disgustinly rank and expensive for what it is. Avoid if you can. Most places are massively expensive and not worth it - but if you get premium half board I recommend the Blue Lagoon restaurant and the Buffalo Bill Wild West Show was pretty good.0 -

Though saying that we went when one of our children was 14 months. Soon after that she started waking in the night with inconsolable crying. Took a long time to get her out of it. We wondered if she had been spooked by the characters at DLP. But that's only anecdotal. Thousands go every day and don't get spooked by it!0 -

its because of the queues next week, it will be busy all week. The parks themselves are both very compact, they fit a lot in both parks.
Don't go expecting big thrill rides like Alton Towers - I don't know if you've been to a Disney park before, but they are not really comparable with theme parks here in the UK, rides at Disney are only one part of the experience, and sometimes not even the biggest part.0 -

If you can go on Friday, do that, no point paying an extra £200 for the sake of one day in my opinion.
Its unlikely to get any cheaper than that for a half-term price.
Santa Fe is much better than Cheyenne (or will be by Feb 2016 because the Santa Fe has been completely refurbed and the Cheyenne is beginning to need it, and won't be refurbed until after you go, as the Hotel New York is next on the list for a full refurb once they have finished the Newport Bay Club).
Eurostar, if you get your fares booked as soon the prices come out, can be as little as £79 return per adult, £50 return per child, and under-4s go free.0 -

not expecting Alton Towers was just trying to compare the size/walking distance around the parks.
we have not been to any of the Disney Parks in the past so this is a new experience for us.
I am sure we will enjoy thanks again0 -

I went in August with my 11yo and 14yo and found that their favourite rides were a mix between the two parks, so we did both each day. At their age, there were many things they were not interested in, but then some rides they were happy to do over and over again. They loved the rock and roll one, and that had the shortest queue, never more than 5 or 10 minutes, even during school holidays, so they did that one many times. Nimo and Ratatouille was much longer. Ratatouille, we chose the queue going individually, but when we got at the end, they did put the three of us together!
My two would not have enjoyed a full day in the main park, but that might also be because it wasn't their first time there.0
