it does look as though the golden forest is unavailable for that week, it may be sold out as compared to the number of other rooms at the Sequoia Lodge, there aren't that many golden forest ones.

Hi, thinking of treating H2B (or rather myself!) to NYE trip

I've looked at Davy Crockett Ranch for 3 days and 2 nights half Board for £729- does this seem a fair price? I'm not sure of its a waste as there are only 2 of us in a cabin for 6?! Also, apart from the evening meal options on HB- do these include NYE? are there places about to get drinks- it is NYE! finally is it super super busy? I've never been to DLP but have encountered Florida in August!

    Thanks

NYE is the busiest day/night of the year at DLP - generally wall-to-wall people from afternoon right through until the midnight celebrations.

I don't know if your price is a good one to be honest, as I've never even thought about going for NYE (I'm a low-season, midweek girl if I can possibly get away with it).
  • is the new photoplus option available yet? if so how much is it and is it worth it? Can this be pre-booked?

    Many thanks

don't ever book a DLP package unless you are getting a good discount offer (for winter dates, 40% off is good, for summer, 30% is decent).

I don't know when 2016 dates will be published, possibly not for quite some time (the earliest I think I have booked is about 6 months in advance, usually its nearer 3 months in advance).
  • I am looking to book 3rd-7th January 2015. As my passes are included in my hotel package are these able to be upgraded to Annual Passes? I am thinking of going again within the year and looking to stay offsite next time. Thanks in advance for any advice given.

no, you can't upgrade any park tickets included with a hotel stay to annual passes, as these tickets on their own, have no monetary value (they are stamped with Nil or Forfait on the price part of the tickets).

It might be a better idea, depending on how many there are in your party/ages/adults/children etc to book only one adult in on the January package (plus any free kids) and then get APs in January for the others in your party. Then you add the AP holders to the room at check in, for only local taxes (around 3 euros per adult per night added to the room).
