it depends what your family likes - table service? buffet? The table service menus you can see on DLPguide.com (they have a restaurant guide).

Has anyone book through Disneyland official site using Top Cashback?

The current rate is 8.92% and I'm wondering whether to use it or not.

Most of the reviews on Top Cashback are old so I'm wondering what the likelihood of payout is and how long it takes.
  • We had such an amazing time in DLP in August that we are considering going back just before Christmas. We are looking at 20th December for a couple of nights. Does anyone know whether it will be really really busy then? I have read that the parks are reasonably quiet at the beginning of December but can't find anything to say what it might be like just before Xmas.

What is different about Christmas at DLP. I know there will be decorations and an amazing atmosphere but are there any additional shows and will we catch a glimpse of Santa?

Also, my mother has listened to us rave about how amazing DLP is that she wants to come too. She is in her 70's and can only walk very short distances. We have a wheelchair so we can push her around the park and we can help her on and off rides etc. but is there anything else that we might need to consider when taking someone in a wheelchair? I have prices for a disabled room in the sequoia lodge.

i certainly know of people who use quidco for the official DLP site - I can't see that topcashback would be any different as far as paying out goes, just go with the best cashback rate :).

it won't be quiet - its school holidays everywhere by that time, so the parks will be busy. You've dealt with August though, so it shouldn't be much different from that :). 20th is a Saturday yes? Weekends at Christmas are often crazy busy.

oh its so different - the parks are dark and all lit up with the Christmas theme etc from about 5pm so you get all that extra atmosphere. Its cold, wrap-up warm weather, which just makes the Christmas theme even more magical - and I defy you to not get shivers up your spine when you hear the tinkly music on Main St usa (you'll know what I mean when you experience it yourself ;)). There are extra parades for Christmas, Santa Goofy may be around, and the real Santa is there too, he has his own Grotto in Frontierland. Dreams gets a fabulous Christmas twist, and this year Elsa, Anna and Merida are joining the characters for meet n greets in the main park :D. From 12th November, the characters are leaving the onsite hotels, and will be in the park for EMH instead.

you can get an easy access pass which will help your mum do rides with you, just ask at City Hall when you arrive. She will be able to use the disabled viewing areas for the parades etc too - this is usually restricted for numbers, but she will be able to have some of you with her in the area, and the others can be very nearby, so you can still do it all as a family.

If you're booking anyway, why not use cashback?
As always, don't rely on it. So if you can't afford to book without the 8.92% cashback then don't.
  • Used topcashback last year. No hassle. Didn't get the payout until after we'd been, but got £25 or so back, which paid for a souvenir or 2!

Not decided who to book with yet.

The potential cashback brings the price below that of Travel Agents.

Hence, like you said, I wanted to know how reliable payments were when considering whether to use it.

    Ah, I see.
And presumably you're saying that if the cashback doesn't come off then the price would be higher than booking through the travel agent?

Tricky one. A bird in the hand, and all that.
