  • Hi everyone :j

I'm pricing up a trip to DLP, 2 adults, 1 infant. I've found prices for flights and transfers from Orly. I'm looking for hotels, can I only book the Disney hotels through the Disney site? Thank you

    Hi :)

I have priced for 4 nights 5 days in November for 2 adults. It's coming in at £446 from 18th - 22nd November. The flights from Bristol are coming in at £117. So in total that £563 for 4 nights, 5 days. I am just wondering as to whether people think this is a good deal? It seems very good to me but then I have never booked before so I'm not too sure. If it is a good deal and we wanted to go for it, we are unable to pay it all upfront. Has anybody booked through travel agents and had the same price as quoted online but paid a deposit, or can I pay a deposit by booking direct with Disney? Any tips and advice greatly appreciated. Also, what would it be like at Disney at that time of the year? I have been for 1 day in early January and it was cold but a lovely experience, very quiet and not many queues :)

you can call Disney on their normal booking number, and choose to pay a deposit of 15% plus a booking fee of around £16 - the rest of your balance will then be paid 60 days before you check-in date.

November midweek is fabulous - low queues, cold but bearable, and absolutely stunningly beautiful with its Christmas theme in full swing :D.

I bought a Fantasy passport for going to Disney from 18th - 22nd October. The website that I bought it from advertised the blockout days as October 7th, 14th, 25th, 26th, 31st.

However, I noticed today that whilst some websites like dlpguide.com still show those dates, the official website also lists the 21st October as a blockout date. Does anyone know if the 21st has been added to the list of blockout days or if it was always a blockout date?

Also, I've read that if you stay in a Disney Hotel you can use your passport on a blockout day. Does anyone know if that applies to people staying in Explorers?

unfortunately, the 21st October 2014 is published as a Fantasy AP blockout date on the official leaflet given out by DLP themselves with new AP purchases. And the Explorers isn't classed as an onsite hotel, so you won't be able to use your Fantasy APs on a blackout date while staying at the Explorers.

Thanks for the reply, we are thinking of the first week in sept. I've been looking at hotels off site, soooooo much cheaper! A massive price difference! Does anyone have experience of these hotels and can recommend one?

What are fantasy ap blackout dates?:o

the offsite hotels are great, but then you have to buy park tickets on top of those, whereas the onsite hotels include your park tickets for all of you for the duration of your stay.

DLRPMagic has loads of great information about park ticket prices and annual passes (not worth buying if you intend needing park access for 3 days or fewer to be honest).

What off site hotels do you recommend? We will only be in the parks for 2 days and I'm probably going to you some avios points to get those

to be honest, apart from the Kyriad at Disneyland Paris, I haven't seen any bad reviews for any of the hotels/apartments in the val d'europe, Serris, or Bussy st george areas. If you're driving over, all of these are very accessible for DLP.
