Looking at going, for several days (4 or 5), in August. I've read thru the thread, but still very confused, especially as we would flight out of Belfast (2 adults, 3 kids).
Anyone any specific advice for us Northern Ireland folk?
Thanks,

Johnnypanic - not quite sure what question you are asking, can you be more specific?0

Hi John
If you mean this August, booking this close means you're unlikely to get a brilliant deal to be honest - either in terms of the hotel package or flights. Flights are at their cheapest when they are first released so will be pretty expensive now for August.
One thing I do recommend is to fly out of Dublin if you can -ther are 4 flights a day from Dublin to CDG so getting an early flight means you have some of your first day at the parks whereas when I looked at an Easyjet flight out of Belfast the price was similar to Dublin but the only flight left Belfast at 6 in the evening meaning the day would have been almost over before we arrived.0 -

Basically want to maximise my bang for buck
Is it better to both an all inclusive bundle, with flights, hotel, park tickets, etc. Or is it better to book separately, looking for deals, for each individual portion.
Also, stay at the park, or nearby?

do you have a budget?
to get an idea of how much it will cost you, go look at flights to Paris from your convenient airports. Then have a look on the official DLP site for your hotel/breakfast/park tickets package.
Then come back to us and we'll see if theres a better value way to go.
It won't be cheap though, its August, only a couple of months away, DLP rarely has great last minute offers in summer time, and the flights will be expensive now.0 -
I understand French Air Traffic are planning a strike between Tues 24th June to Sun 29th June.
I fly to DLP Mon 23rd June, returning Sat 28th June.
Outward journey should not be affected but return might be.
DLP themselves say if I am affected, they will work with whatever insurance cover I have.
I only bought insurance this morning. I didn't know about the strike before I bought it but it seems to have been in the news for a day or two.
My insurance company's (Insure and Go) claims dept are closed until Monday so none of their agents could advise if I am covered.
All they said was "if the strike was known about during booking, it is not covered". But my question was, should I have know, as the event already happened - or that fact that I personally did not know about it until after booking, means I am covered?
Anyone had any experience around this?
If I do have to find alternative accomodation at my own cost, any recommendations?0 -
don't worry too much if you have to book accommodation for extra nights due to the strike - there are loads and loads of cheap apartments/hotel rooms one stop from DLP in val d'europe (travelodge type hotels). Ibis, Premier Classe, Adagio, Serris Rive Gauche etc etc.0

Cheers. Will have a look and bookmark a couple just incase. Maybe DLP will be sympathetic and let me stay a couple days extra at a reduced rate!0 -
Hello, we are looking to book New York hotel from 14th to 19th October.
The current deal of 20% and free half board, says book by 30th June.
Does anyone have an idea of what deal they would likely run next? And would dates in October (which I think are out of school holidays) be likely to be included in those?0 -

no idea what the next offer will be - but dates in October, termtime, will definitely be subject to discount offers until at least early September.
