  • I think driving would be the most convenient and cheapest way for your group to travel to DLP - I believe its very straightforward and well signposted once in France.

Both your 4 and 6 year olds would be free at the Davy Crockatt Ranch, how much is your quote for your 3 nights there? You are unlikely to get anything cheaper onsite for your party, as you are a group of 5, and most of the onsite hotel rooms are for a group of 4 maximum.

Remember this year, 29th May is the start of Ascension weekend in France, a major public holiday and one of DLP's busiest periods. So if you are planning a May half term trip, try to leave on or before 29th May.

Thank you for all your advice

Bit of change of plan, I am now considering staying outside of Disneyland to bring the costs down.

I have found this hotel - Adagio Apart Hotel Val D'Europe - has anyone used this?

Also now considering using the euro tunnel train as hubby is sea sick apparantely!

Has anyone else used this hotel or been on the Euro Tunnel?

    Many thanks :money:
  • Just a quick question on DLP please?

We are thinking of going for 7 days in May and staying at the Disneyland Hotel.

I'm not sure whether to pre-pay for the meal plans or just plan food on a day to day basis?
It will cost around £1000 for the 4 of us for 7 days!! Will that really save us money if we buy meals individually every evening?

    Many thanks in advance.

no, meal plans at DLP don't save you money.
Can I ask, are you planning spending all 7 days at DLP? Thats a very long time in my opinion 3 or 4 nights will be more than sufficient, the main park will be open from 8am to after 11pm every night while you are there.

Adagio gets good reviews and lots of return guests from the DLP community :).

Yes, we were planning on spending 7 days there. (although may go to Paris for one day).

You think that is too much?

We always use Eurotunnel, in fact earlier today coming home from our DLP trip. It's really easy, no stress and not the rugby scrum that the ferry check in used be when we did go on a boat. The drive is around 3 hours from Calais to DLP with a toll road, approx 22 euros each way depending on what day it is.

to be honest, yes, I do. DLP has 2 parks, a very small entertainment area next to it (The Village) and the onsite hotels. Its very compact (the furthest hotels are 15-20 minutes walk from the entrance to the parks) and The Village is 5 minutes from the Studios park entrance, and the Studios park entrance is 5 minutes walk from the main park.
  • this is probably a really silly question...but the time on the eurostar tickets for when we leave disneyland is french time isnt it?

Think i'd go insane if i was there for 7 days ! I agree, 3 nights/4 days is more than enough.

I'm more than happy to spend 3 weeks in Florida though ! Unfair comparison really as more parks i suppose.
  • Also, do you know roughly how long it takes to get from santa fe to the station at Marne-la-Vall!e/Chessy.

am i right in thinking we hop on a shuttle bus to get from station-hotel, and hotel-station?
