Hi all I'm planning to take my daughter to DLP next year around 21st of May - I've been looking at different options am I better off waiting until the new year before booking? I did see a few deals on Disneyland Paris direct? Also planning on getting there by Eurostar - again is it better to book now or later? Would appreciate any help! Thank you!

the direct eurostar fare has been on sale for your dates in May for 2 months already, so if the fare is cheap, book it now, because it will only get more expensive the longer you leave it.

i wouldn't book your hotel/park tickets yet, plenty of time for Disney to come out with some good deals yet.

    Hello everyone.

My wife is thinking of taking our daughter (aged 7) to DLP next August via a coach trip from West Wales. Depart 24th, have 2 days in the park (staying in the Santa Fe) and return on the 27th.

The total cost for the both of them is £500.

Looking for opinions on the above booking reagarding time of travel and cost.

    Thanks in advance.

thats an okay price for August - does she have any other options for travel at all? ie take the train into London and take the Eurostar, then stay nearby at DLP and maybe get longer that way in the parks?

I'm hoping to get my girlfriend tickets to Disneyland Paris for Christmas, but on a bit of a budget.

    I'm trying to get:

    2 adults
    2 nights accommodation
    2 days in the park
    and transport from London
    for around £300 - £350.

I'm looking at going at a less busy time of year (so not in school holiday periods)
Thinking of leaving London on a Sunday, and spending Monday and Tuesday at the parks so they wont be too busy.

After a lot of reading I've come up with the following options (all based on 2 adults):

    1. In Jan or Feb 2014
with 20% off and free half board via Disney site (inc. park tickets)- £269
    plus transport of around £140
    TOTAL: £309

    2. In June 2014
    Accommodation off site around £50 a night x 2 = £100
Return flights (or Eurostar) around: £140
Plus park tickets for 2 days: around £120 i think
    TOTAL: £360

    3. In October 2014
    Accommodation off site around £50 a night x 2 = £100
    Eurostar around: £140
Plus park tickets for 2 days: around £120 i think
    TOTAL: £360

What do you think I should do? I think June or October might be a better time of year to go as it wont be as cold....?
Any thoughts / suggestions on the above would be much appreciated!!

I'm guessing the above is pretty much as cheap as I'll be able to get?

out of your dates, I would do October (avoiding the last 2 weeks of that month) - as you get Halloween season thrown in. I'm not sure where you'll get 2-day park tickets for £60 each though?

Theres 5 of us going 2 adults, a 14 yo, 5 yo and 1 yo baby on a self drive 4 nighter with 2/3 days in the parks and a day in paris too if we only do 2 days in the park hopefully staying at the explorers hotel.

Eurostar is a nightmare for us welshies.

That's why we're flying from Birmingham instead. :D

as you'll be booking everything (hotel, travel, park tickets) separately, you could have a look around now. Check all the usual hotel agent sites for the Explorers (don't book this through Disney, its expensive that way). Eurotunnel or ferry sites for the car travel, and DLRPmagic for an idea of park ticket prices (also google "cheap Disneyland Paris tickets" and see what comes up).

As a rough guide, a decent price for a midweek night at the Explorers hotel in February is around £60-70 per room per night.

You may find Feb half term is busy next year, as Parisien area schools are off at that time too in 2014 (from 15th Feb to 3rd March), which always makes the parks busy at DLP.

    Hi balletshoes,

Yes you're right, I was a bit optimistic with the ticket prices there... Having checked properly now the cheapest I have found is £39 for 1 day 1 park, and £47 for 1 day 2 parks, both on the DLP french site.

The other date I'm considering is in May, from Wednesday 21st to Friday 23rd (after the spring hols in France, but just before half term at the end of May) - as it's a xmas present, so my OH wouldn't have so long to wait

Do you think this would be a good time to go, or do you think bad weather might be a problem at this time of year?
  • Does anybody know if there is a way to find out if the pirates of the carribean ride is back open after the accident that recently happened?

May is a lovely time to go, if you're avoiding school holidays :). It might rain - but it will be warm rain.

from other DLP forums it appears the ride has already re-opened (they were hoping to re-open yesterday from what I've read). The child concerned was out of hospital and back at his Disney hotel with his family on Saturday.
