Thanks balletshoes. Yes we haven't gone mad especially with the ages of the grandchildren as they'll be very excited and over awed I'm sure. I think what we have planned is sufficient and then as you say take time to watch the parades and shows. I had looked on the site and it give the times for this week but I'm sure it won't change much for next week, if at all. Everyone is looking forward to it and seeing each other so should be a happy fun time. Thanks again for all your help. :T0

Hi
Off next week and really looking forward to it!!
When does next week's guide come up to download please?
We are staying at HiPark Serris and I think that we can get a bus there from Disneyland. Does anyone know if it stops outside or do you have to ask the driver. My French is a bit rusty!!!
Also, just to check, we bought day tickets from here
http://www.fnactickets.com for 39 euros each
They are just printed on paper with a code so please can anyone tell me where do we take them at the gate to get into the park? Also is it possible to leave and return on the same day?

probably monday or tuesday next week - it will be the same next week as it is now.

I'm not sure - ask at reception when you check into your hotel, they will be able to tell you.

if your tickets have what looks like either a barcode or a square block barcode, they are your actual tickets, you scan the barcode at the turnstiles to get in to the park, and also at the fastpass machines to get fastpass tickets. Any problems with them, take them to either the ticket booths at the entrance to the parks, or Guest Services (also at the entrance to the parks, but to the right of the ticket booths as you are going into the parks).
Yes, you can leave and return on your ticket - keep your ticket all day and re-scan to go through the turnstiles, also on your first exit of the park the cast member at the exit gate will ask if you want your hand stamped to allow re-entry, so you can do that too.

Thanks balletshoes, a mine of information as always :T
They have a square barcode so should be ok.0 -
This time next week we will be at DLP! Just wanted to check there isn't anything else we need to book in advance or should put into our itinerary please. Meeting son, DIL, GD (4) and GS (18 months ) there.
Cafe Mickey meal and birthday cake (haven't got birthday sash, stupidly huge is all I could see!). Will buy badge instead.
Meeting Princesses
Face painting - either at entrance to Auberge de Cendrillon or as you go in Studie One.
Take snacks and drinks with us each day as stupidly expensive inside.
Go in early for Dumbo rides etc as gets very busy around 9am.
Is this everything I need to remember please?? Thanks in advance balletshoes!
Actually I never thought about booking things in advance, are there any recomendations that would be cool for me and my 9 yr old daughter? Is there a web site where you book things in advanced?
Thanks as always guys!!0 -

if you have booked a package with Disney, you can pay for and book your meals in advance, birthday cake etc.
If you just want to book a table in advance, you can do that for free by calling Disney Dining.
What else were you thinking of?
DLRPMagic is a good website for getting a feel of DLP, lots of information, photos, menus etc on there. There a lot at DLP that you can't book in advance though.

Well i have booked a standard family room (B&B) at the Dream Castle hotel so that's about it at the moment! I guess as it's our first time maybe the best thing to do is just suck it and see? I just wondered if there were anything (shows or restaurants) which are bookable and that are 110% worth doing.
I'll take a look at that website you've mentioned anyways! Sounds like a good idea!

with a 9-year old girl, (been there, done that, not that long ago) my must-dos on a first trip to DLP would be -
breakfast at the Disneyland Hotel one morning (you can't book this in advance)
lunch or dinner at Cafe Mickey (to meet characters without any of the scrumming that goes on in the parks). You can book a table in advance by phoning Disney Dining, or on your first day at DLP, pop into City Hall in the main park and book your table there.
All of the shows and parades, including Dreams at the main park closing time, they are amazing, in both parks.
Extra Magic Hours at least one morning, so you can ride the open rides in Fantasyland and Discoveryland in the main park with no/minimal queues.
I'd also say do the teacups and Dumbo in the dark, because on the teacups ride they light the chinese lanterns in the ceiling of the ride, and on Dumbo in the dark you can see the park all lit up from your elephant. If your daughter likes the Big Thunder Mountain ride (my DD loves it) do that in the dark too - as again, you see the park all lit up as you whoosh by.
The character meet n greet (its called descent of the stairs) is on inside the Disneyland Hotel at 4pm every day you are there except Monday - its charming, and is a good way of meeting several characters without the scrumming that can go on inside the parks.
Those would be my must-dos - it sounds like I'm not mentioning the rides at DLP at all really - but thats because, at this time of year, the park is so beautiful and the shows/parades are so amazing, that the rides take second place to them. I'm sure you'll find time to do rides too though. I'd probably say concentrate on any rides you really want to do on Friday and Monday, because Saturday and Sunday will be much busier.

was wondering if anyone had any info on the train from CDG airport to the park?
we are going on 9th Dec with our nearly 2yr old and wanted to get the train to make it easier,
my question is, if we book our ticket now for a certain time and the flight is delayed do we then have to buy another ticket or can we get on the next train?? also is it more expensive to buy tickets on the day and how much more?
thanks0 -

from what i've read, its no more expensive just to buy your ticket at the station before you get on the train. You must have a ticket before you get on the train, and you validate your ticket in the little yellow machines on each platform.0
