Good luck everyone with Christmas savings, I am wrapping up some pressies today do I sort of count lol!
Sorry I was away last week, hubby had week off work and just felt a bit "low" so had head down - anyway sorry for any neglect.0 -
Morning all
Thanks for having me onboard, I've updated my sig this morning and have the grand total of zilch
Any mystery shops, ebay profits and survey cash/vouchers will now be added to my xmas pot, plus I shall be chucking all my small change in a pot and will update my totals weekly if that's ok?
Off to a bad start though, just placed an order with ACE crimbo catalogue, although they are 66% off at the moment and so I'm making a HUGE saving on my cards, wrapping paper and a couple of pressiesDFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
hi everyone hope alls ok, altho i know ur prob fedup mm now uve had that bill come. seems like theres always something doesnt it, does your head in i know.
norning jo, glad uve decided to join in with mm's challenge. did you say you had 3 kids to buy for? must be an expensive time in ur house. ive got 2 kiddies but ones only 1 1/2 and other is 4 1/2, so still get away with buying lots of small pressies, altho i have the feeling that i wont get away with it much longer. im sure i told u all yest but cant find the reply i made, but when doing my 90 loads of washing yesterday i found a fiver stuck to the washer drum, so ive put that in my cmas stash!
i have accepted another mystery shop-a really good one which is £80 in total for this 1 assignment, but it spreads over about 3 months, so not sure that ill get the payment in time for my cmas shopping money, so i thought i might aswell put that in hol fund instead.
but, i now have £12 0saved up and im aiming for £200 altogether. i keep buying bits of pressies in sales etc to put in my hamper baskets, so if i dont quite get up to £200 it should be fine cos ill already have loads of bits stashed away!
good luck with ur ebaying jo! im going to list a few bits today aswell!

Hi Noggin,
Lucky the fiver stayed in one piece! I usually find any paper money in the machine has been washed to bits, s@ds law! My kids are 15, 4 and 2 - the 4 and 2yr olds are okay cos it's easy to buy small bits and pieces as quantity usually matters at this age. Unfortunately not so easy for the my eldest dd, last year she wanted an ipod, her hair cut and coloured and a mobile phone
Hence the above, I decided to start buying early this year so that I'm ready for the expense!DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
lol jo, i have got all that to come then havent i! when i think back to being a teenager i wanted all sorts aswell-so im not looking forward to my two being that age. might be a millionaire by then though...
i guess i am lucky then that it was "whole" mind you, it was all ripped and falling to pieces and i had to get the old celotape out like but its useable so not bothered! lol. ur washer is prob better then mine tho thats why!
ull be catching straight up mm when ur bill is sorted dont worry. ur the founder so uve got to keep positive!
how ya feelin now rayday? hope ur ok now and got ur head round stuff??
sometimes i just sit and cry when i get really bad but then i think well were all happy and healthy so its really not the end of the world if were a bit skint is it. hope ur feelin better tho

hiya Great to see how well you are all doing - I've been following this thread and am musing on what I need to allocate for Christmas pressies.
In the meantime if anyone wants stuff for their baskets try www.originalsource.co.uk. You do have to register, mine has not arrived yet so don't know how good the sample is?0 -
thanks nog for your words of encouragment!! peb i sent off for that months ago, and got mine pretty much straightaway, its in one of my hamper baskets to give as a pressie, its quite cute really lolLBM 29/07/ 07

Hey All,
Loving the Christmas savings idea so I'll pop off and update my sig. I think I'll count my Quidco earnings as I hope to have that by xmas. I've got on with some bits and bobs for my baskets. Got some nice looking el-cheapo Hot Choccie sachets from eBay now too and some mugs so getting close to the drinkie basket for my mum's hubbie.
Need plenty of cheap smellies (that don't look cheap) for mum's now!! LOL
Hope all are OK?? I seem to be rushing in and out of here at the moment, flipping work getting in my way.
Sympathise about the school thing too - my ds started a new school and is finding it hard to settle in. It's the school I work at but in the junior section and I work in the senior section so I don't see him. A lot of the kids came up from the pre-prep school together so he's struggling to find friends being a bit shy. I'm sure he'll get there, but it's painful to watchxx Hugs to all xx
Proud to be dealing with my debt!
