Thanks for the WBs.
A UU of Aldi Lacura Hyaluronic Serum. This is one from Specialbuys at about £6.99 for 30ml
WIBA? Only if I use up the Simon & Tom, my other hyaluronic serum which was a freebie, and a very good one. I would then re-use the Simon & Tom bottle and decant the Aldi product in to it.
The bottle on the Simon & Tom serum is a much better design with a longer pipette. The Aldi pipette only reached halfway down the bottle, making it difficult to dispense economically.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Welcome newbies and welcome back indiepanda. How do you find this? I’ve got a couple as well to use up. I’ve no problems with it, I just don’t think it actually does anything?! I’ll keep using it just in case, and while it’s there though…
.
I'm using this at the moment as I've received the tubes in kits and agree that I don't feel/see it making a difference. Much prefer the Gentle Rose Exfoliator.
Have two more UUs from my PP List: LEBergamot and Ginger shower gel and body lotion. Sad to see these go and will definitely buy again but don't know when as I still have shower gels/lotions in the stash and want to buy numerous items on holiday.
Repainted my nails too yesterday and am wearing OPI A Ruby for Rudolph which is an old holiday colour but I love reds. xBack for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Hi everyone, welcome to new peeps and great to see some older names back here too.:D
Any recommendations please for industrial strength cuticle remover, I need to buy some soon and don't know which are the best these days. My cuticles are not thick and noticeable, but they seem to be quite tough and adhere well to my nails, so think I need something with a bit of ooomph:( When I paint my nails they don't look as groomed as I would like them to. I would love to have a few professional manicures as a treat, but will have 2 non- regular bills to pay soon and really need some private physio too:eek:The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. One UU
Johnson's Baby Shampoo - a HG. I always use this when I have a flare up of psoriasis on my scalp. nothing else clears it
Two INS
Nivea Soft and Original Source Pineapple shower gel. Both HGs that I find cheap in Home Bargains.0 -
Thanks for the various responses to my post last night. Apologirs for not respnding propery by name to each of you, wifi up the creek so this post comes from my phone and it's hard to do multiple quotes on the phone.
I think the person who said it's all about the planning is spot on. And even though I haven't made a list of all I have, just seeing it all made it possible to spot where I am especially overloaded with products so I can bring it to mind if I feel temptation at any point.
The comment about enjoying what I have was also well made, I do have some lovely things tucked away and it would be wasteful not to enjoy them. I won't get any money back from being miserable about having spent it.
I UU the dove deodorant today. WBA but probably not that fragrance as I prefer the grapefruit one. Anyway I have a half used full size in the same scent so am moving onto that now. Am planning on trying a pitroc when I next need a new deodorant. Though whether I could cope with the sweat when running or on the busy commute remains to be seen.
Foot cream went on before bed and this morning. Not far off UU the foot cream but have another half used one the same in my stash and a few different ones unused so won't need to make up my mind what to buy next for a while.0 -
Hola Beauty Queens
Sorry I have been so completely, utterly rubbishI've either been bumping from one skid-based trauma to another, or revelling in the peace and quiet with my DH. He is completely recovered from his kidney op now and we're looking forward to our holibobs without the threat of infection hanging over our heads. Hooray! :T
I had a very quiet June in terms of UU, as predicted, far too many full products at the start of the month to make any inroads. However, I've had a mini-flurry this past fortnight.
The UU I WBA
Dove Creme Bar; HG
L'Oreal Cleansing Oil; not my absolute favourite but does a good job for the half-price it's so often on
Grace Cole Handwash ; got this in Homesense for £4 for 500ml, lasted for ages (c. 2 months which is amazing for the number of people in my household), smelled lovely and best of all, it matched my bathroom colour scheme perfectlySimple pleasures!
L'Oreal Shampoo sachet; my hair had gone really blah so I used this in temperand it made a huge difference, my curls reappeared :T I'll use another SLS poo to get rid of build up if it happens again
L'Oreal True Match Foundation; Loved this, lovely light formula with excellent coverage. WDBA once I've made a bigger dent in my foundation stash. I really don't think you can beat L'Oreal bases on the high street
Lacura Clear Roll On Deo; HG
OGX Argan Creme 'poo and 'dish; I liked this in the end, after I discovered you have to really shake the shampoo to mix it, otherwise it doesn't lather
Rituals Honey Touch Body Cream; HG, was hanging on to the last dregs as I couldn't stand to see it go but I spotted a Rituals parcel in amongst my birthday stash so I felt I was finally able to enjoy every last drop
Benefit Coralista Blush; it's AAAAAAAAALL gone! And despite having used it every single day for weeks and weeks, I'm really missing it. It is so effortless and such a lovely colour, I'm seriously tempted to buy another. Maybe if there's birthday cash in a card or two…
The UU I WNBA
Garnier In Der Dusche Shower Lotion; even my long-since forgotten GCSE German can figure out this this was an in shower body conditioner. I hated this, smelled terrible (fake cucumber) and didn't moisturise my skin at all. So very glad it's gone
Dove Shower Gel; can't even remember the fragrance, the formula is nice enough but they all smell very artificial and I will be glad when they're all gone, they seem to be multiplying in my bathroom cupboards every time I turn my back
Estee Lauder Gentle Eye Make Up Remover; too pricey for a job which micellar water achieves just as well
The GA
No7 Melting Gel Cleanser
Imperial Leather Foamburst Sweet Vanilla and Cherry
Nivea Express Hydration Primer
Tresemme poo and dish travel sizes
All donated to DD who is off on hols with her BF and his family next week
The TA, hang onto your knickers for this one…
Rituals Tao Handwash; I KNOW!! This came from the fantastic offer box last month, I was SO excited to crack it open but after a couple of days (where it was only DH and me at home) we'd already used almost a quarter of the bottle (considering the RRP of £10 I was ) and my hands were so very dry, when I rubbed them together they sounded like sandpaperLife is too short to suffer crappy handwash so in the bin it went - *fling*!
Tigi Bedhead Foxy Curls Contour Cream; gone off, smelled like a rotten banana :boak:
Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Face Wash; had one of these before and loved it, however, this smelled funky from the day it was opened and and the texture was off too. I assume it was spoiled (got it from the pound shop almost a year ago) so no great loss in binning it
L'Oreal StudioLine Curl Mousse; UGH! Sticky and horrible and nothankyou. Much prefer the Elvive one, or the Pantene
My day moisturiser has been cut open, my night eye cream is getting low and my lip balm is very low too, so there's still a few splutterers hanging on
I do have a few INs to declare though:
Revlon Ultra HD Lipsticks in Gladiolus and Dahlia; these are usually £8 each but were half price on the Superdrug website a couple of weeks ago, plus BOGOHP so I got a brace for £6 :money: Gladiolus is a bright pinky red and Dahlia is a darker burgundy red. The formula is amazing, so smooth and creamy, feels nourishing but stays put and doesn't feather. I don't wear lipstick very often and when I DO, it's always red but if you're not as boring as I am, I would highly recommend checking them out as they have some lovely colours.
OGX Argan Oil and Shea Butter 'poo and 'dish; two for a tenner and I needed to replenish
Garnier Micellar Water 400ml
And I think that's quite enough for one day! I need a lie down now… :rotfl:

I use the Sally Hansen one, it is in a blue bottle and is very good.
Welcome back Fizz - glad to hear your DH has fully recovered. Funnily enough I really liked that Rituals handwash.
Someone was asking about hair masks recently (sorry I have forgotten who) I quite like Herbal Essences Hello Hydration, it is pretty good for a cheapie.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
