    Evening all...

    Late check in for me...

Really good productive day off... Gym, registered at GP and going to book in for a Well Men's health check, go my ISA up and running and sent my first payment in... Set up a couple of charitable donations which although aren't to a foodbank - are to causes I feel close to (Rainforest Conservation and World Wildlife Fund). I'll try and drop a few tins in each week too when I have spare cash.

Not a SFD as needed to top up my salad tray again lol... Can't believe how easy I am finding it to be healthy right now... I've not splurged in ages!

Calling - Thanks for your comment about my credit report. I'll get them back on track in no time - and not planning on moving anytime soon either.

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Good Morning Turtles!

In the words of the great Dolly Parton, (roughly)

Tumble outta bed and stumble to the kitchen
Pour myself a cup of ambition
And yawn and stretch and try to come to life
Jump in the shower and the blood starts pumping
Out on the street the traffic is jumping
With folks like you and me on the job 9 to 5

sing it people ' working 9 to 5!

Well don't know about you but I currently spend more time at work than anywhere else. What things do you do when at work to save money? What keeps you on the straight and narrow and what if anything do you just hate? Office collections, people who bring in endless cake whatever!

Any way have a good day y'all, yeeeee ha!

The Only Girl - you've taught your son well. Hope you get your car sorted without too much ouch.

Today is grocery shopping day but will all be within budget, no other spending planned. Tonight is DD's leavers production and I am hoping to get through that without spending money - schools should have you swipe your Visa card on the way in :rotfl:.

Hair cut and coloured yesterday and I got lots of compliments on it at the Sports Day, it was all flowing and straight yesterday but has been washed this morning after cycling and the curls have taken over again - boo.

My dog is currently having a dream which involves him howling at full volume and paddling his legs - how do they not wake themselves up?

Thanks dolly. I hope DS1 will be able to do it as he intends. He's just updated his FB status to say they arrived safely.

I'm glad to hear you had nice compliments on your hair. Debt-busting isn't all doom and gloom. We can still have fun and treat ourselves every now and then.

Thanks fmess. We do try and involve them in the debt-busting journey and hope that our MSE ways will sink in.

Have a nice day. Hopefully it's NSD.

Very quick check in from me. Spendy day needed birthday pressie, card for brother and some milk, got some yellow stickered chicken portions and potatoes whilst I was there.

May have to get some new dog food, got home to a poorly dog last night and horrific mess, fortunately I had left her outside due to the nice weather. Still operation clear up took an hour. Not sure if it is the food will mix in with some rice later and see.

Dolly jealous of your haircut and colour I need to get mine cut at least next month. Actually like the golden streaks in it now from the sun.

    The Only Girl
that is so great that DS1 has joined in the turtle ways. So many kids have no idea about managing money. Following your last post, checked my daughter/grandson returned from Alton Towers safe and sound. To be honest my daughter would not have gone but she had already booked on the hotel. So sad for those injured.

Bob glad business is booming. Not sure what keeps me going at work to be honest my bosses are quite laid back and do make me a few brews. Struggling today as the job I am doing is so monotonous. Went for a long walk to the bank just needed some air, very muggy today.

    Applemuncher happy hols

    Catch up later x

  • Evening all, it's very quiet on here today! Calling, hope your doggy is feeling better today. The Only Girl, DS1 is awesome :) as others have said, you've definitely raised him well.
NSD today, even got up early to workout (may have negated that by the dolly mixtures that OH has brought home from the school fair!). The only things I'm planning to buy for the rest of the month are food, petrol, and some plants for the garden, so I'm hoping I can make my stretch target as well - but, you never know what the rest of the month will bring, so I'm being cautiously optimistic.
Hope all turtles are advancing slowly towards the beach today :D
Bought my first house in 2014 - now, to be mortgage free! :D
