    Morning all

Had a bit of a lie in, cuppa with a mog in bed. Going to get the washing on the line, clean the bathroom, have a shower and then do some more in the garden. It is cloudly but that is good as the front where I'm heading is otherwise in the sun all day and can be too hot. May do my neighbours front as well if I have the energy.

Heavy rain here so change of plan, dusting and ironing to be precise.

pigpen what a beautiful thing to say, and I couldn't agree more, Bossy You are amazing, and 40s the new 20 :) beautiful ring, my mums wedding ring was exactly the same, just yellow gold.

Well had a productive morning, cleaned the cuoboards, xooker, shelves, island, work tops, dusted, tidied toys away, looks so much better! Children are being very well behaved. Need to clean the floor though.

I know pigpen I'm very lucky to be surrounded by lovely people xx and although I'm a bit "meh" about turning 40, I'm all too aware it is a privilege denied to many xx

Many of my family have passed at 41.. I'm looking forward to 42!! It's just another day really, hardly significant at all.. My granddad died at 41 (he had a stroke due to a broken leg complication) when my nanna was 37, she never had a relationship after that and is now 88, a bit batty but ok and she wasted her entire life since her husbands death pining for hers she wouldn't go out or buy new clothes, for example.. their sons were 4, 11 and 15 when he passed. To me this makes it all the more poignant that you are living still. My uncle died at the same age, of the same thing leaving 3 sons of the same ages and I am concerned... but insured! ;)

It's no age at all, is it? None of DH and four of his cousins got that far. We were the only ones lucky enough to have children. Well it's lucky for me, anyway. We certainly aren't pining. We have a rather full life ;)

Right. Have ironed the few bits that needed, put DD rainbow wall sticker up, vacced behind her bedside table (yuck) and then vacced all upstairs, loaded DW after dinner and just made us all a big drink of juice, as realised none of us have had a drink since breakfast:eek:

Just having hhfu (half hour feet up) and might do this weeks lists while I'm here...

Any requests? I'm doing sweet fa on Tuesday lol

    Afternoon all

Not done much today apart from dailies, though kitchen had a good clean-up after cooking yesterday involved loads of stuff.

Bossy - love the ring. It's really gorgeous and delicate.

Any chance of factoring in some Wimbledon this week - I'll do some ironing whilst watching - honest :D

Right, I'm off to have my half-hour spoil. I'm going to put some conditioner on my hair, make a cuppa and run a nice warm bubble-bath. I was going to sit out but it's turned cold and grey and keeps spitting of rain.

Lovely ring Bossy, I'm too glad you are here and everyone else x

Basics done only as ds2 is a poorly boy. Hope insurance ring in the morning with good news as I'm 50 next Sunday and am having a spa day. My friend has said she would drive if I don't have a car by then.

    Thanks for being here x
