Oh Mrs MP - that gave me an inappropriate giggle! I think I am a little on edge after all the horrible news in just one day.
Stayed in most of day waiting for call re my pension - but the call never came (surprise) so I rang them just before they closed at 6 and got through first time! Not sure why anyone else has problems - they obviously don't call at the best times - immediately the line is switched on or at tea time. Good news is it has been authorised so just waiting 3-5 working days to receive and then I'll be solvent again - for a while anyway!
Doing extra shift at ch shop tomorrow and so have been to the library so we can take the winter quilts to be cleaned first thing tomorrow. Today have had a good day - cleared a stack of shredding and tidied dusted and hoovered two bedrooms - so the majority of the house is looking quite good now. Also caught up with the washing and drying and only HHI to complete in the morning. Must have needed a break to re-focus energies.
I am determined that I'll get this paperwork kondo'd before Xmas!!!
Catch up on Monday.xJuly 16 £95/£200

Saw student.
Vacuumed all house.
Arranged some flowers for spare room as BIL is staying tonight.
Pulled up a million weeds.
Planted out some cauliflower plants, long overdue.
Emptied DW.
Er - that can't be all? Oh yes, I got rid of a few more flagged emails.
Had email at 3pm to say one of our dear bike group friends died this morning. Apparently he had a fall recently and although all seemed well, was taken into hospital suddenly. He had never fully recovered from a stroke some years ago. Not much older than Mr.N.
And as for the international news - words fail me.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Hi all,
Just checking in to say hello. Fallen down a bit with lists this week. Got home last night, put children to bed, just had a little lie down, (at 8.20) and did not wake up until this morning.
cy more hugs if you have room x
Dog has pulled a muscle but thinks she is still ok to go for a walk so as I am typing this her eyes are drilling into my soul. She thinks I am being cruel.
Must do something list wise this weekend. I will redeem myself. Xxx0 -
Evening
My car has been written off this evening by hit and run off driver and a few other occupants. We haven't had it for a year yet. Heart broken. At least no one was hurt. The other car had no insurance, tax or owner. My car was parked. It was pushed in to a neighbour's car so as the policeman said they will claim off me.
Cleaning bit: picked up some bits of my car off the road0 -
So sorry to hear that dancemum. Surely it was registered to somebody. I thought if you did not change the name when you sold you were liable. How can neighbour claim off you when you were not in the car or responsible. Hope your insurance co get it sorted out for you. May be worth starting a thread on the motoring or insurance boards on here. xThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Apparently that is what happens as it was my car that hit the neighbour's car when pushed by the hit and run one.
The neighbour was out at the time. We have been around to knock when we saw their other car but they didn't answer it. The lady is 8.5 months pregnant.0 -
Oh Dancemum what a blow. As you said, at least nobody was hurt but what a mess to sort out. Let's hope the insurance company is reasonable.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0

Evening everyone :hello:
Bossy - your ring sounds amazing - how about a picture please ?I need to think about how best I can tackle the routines though as it wasn't quite working for me. One of the problems I think was 'just popping onto the computer to get the list' and then finding the internet time-drain had stolen all my cleaning time! :rotfl:Evening

Left to do from the lists

Spend at least half an hour doing something just for yourself.. a nice bath, a manicure.. just your time!
Hope you all have a super Saturday and hugs, sticks and spoons to anyone in need of them

Morning, oh dancemum, so awful for you. Big hugs.
The ring sounds beautiful bossy, perfect.
well got very little done last night. Cleaned the sink and changed Roos bed, washed up and wiped worktops.
Beautiful day today but not able to do much due to the spots of chicken. Will endeavour to wash everything though and dry it and spend a lot of the day in the garden. Will have a quick swish around the kitchen with a wet cloth though. Would like to clean the floor as its minging!
Have my new 0% CC through so will endeavour to transfer balance, 34% interest down to 0%, which is fab.
Hmmm seem to have a problem with my WM it comes up with how long each cycle is, for instance 50 minutes, and it's taking atleast twice as long?! Nothing else seems to be pressed in? Don't know what to do?!
Still haven't heard about OHs job, so will
Just wait and see.
Oh must mow lawn tonight, it is an actual jungle!0
