Narco I'm so sorry to read about your friend, what a horrible shock if must have been. My deepest condolences.

Dancemum, sorry to hear about your car, I hope the insurance company will be fair, again a horrible shock to have something like that happen. But as you said at least no one was hurt

CY continued hugs and virtual support for you.

Pigpen he looks lovely, thank you for sharing the photos. You do have beautiful children

Been school fete, me and Dh moved some heavy tables that needed shifting so that's my flying for the day plus I watered neighbours plants.
DD2, partner and the adorable DGS have been round for the day so it's been lovely being smiled at and gurgled to. DS1has mysteriously gone to brum with guitar but won't say why, DS2 has been out with friends all day after they all slept round last night, so we are having a peaceful dinner in the garden listening to the band warm up in the pub at the bottom of the garden, it's like our own version of Glastonbury.

Have a good rest of the weekend all.
    Hugs where needed

Have just read back through, and sorry Narco, I missed your post, I'm so sorry, as MMP said must be a shock for you, big hugs :( x

Beautiful DS pigpen, those cheek bones! I hope he has A lovely time. Proms are newish aren't they. We never had one when I left school in the 90's. God showing my age now!

WM update, it's flucked. Def the heating element by the looks of it. From what j can figure out. Now the most cost effective thing is to wait until OH gets back in 2 weeks so he can fix it, in the mean time I can do a cold wash but that's about it! Think I'll just have to Pre soak all the dirty stuff. Have run the machine about 12 times today to try and get it to work. To no avail. Managed 2 washes before it broke. So hung them out and got them in. Spent the day in the garden as best place for a grumpy itchy spotty thing such as Roo. May and Roo had the best time in the paddling pool and trampoline. I managed to hangbup some CDs to hopefully deter the birds, that and watered All the plants, made some bread, hoovered, washed up, cleaned the grossness out of the dishwasher and picked up about a million toys, oh and remade my bed and emptied the upstairs bin and did an online shop. House doesn't look much better but hey ho.
  • Hi,

Missy I have nightmares about WM breaking, I'm that sad. It is very important and I love it.

Had a good day today, mum and dad round for a few hours over lunch, so before that had mad couple of hours tidying and hoovering, plus mowed lawn. After they'd gone did the rest of the afternoon weeding and sweeping the drive, OH strimmed. Looks much better. Then had an hour down the park with the children and doggy.
Now off for drinky and crisps x

Well miracles do happen - after 2 months without a win DH's Saturday cricket team managed a win. This is on top of his Sunday team scoring their first win last week. He is currently down the pub. Chuffed to bits for him.

Have found the receipt for DD2's phone. Thankfully it is guaranteed for a year, so she will be able to get it repaired.

I feel EXACTLY the same. I was so upset when my last one died.
I am very happy with it's replacement.

  • CY, it plays a little happy tune when it has finished washing. It somehow makes it into a person, along the same lines as Henry the Hoover. Oh dear I am sad.
