    Evening all :hello:

Spent £ 8.65 at Mr T today and added to total. Still reasonably on target for the month :D

We had HM beef Bolognese (freezer) with tagliatelli and parmesan for dinner tonight.

Hope you all have a frugal Friday

Budget to end of 16th is £134.98, but spends (including most 'from long-term stock' items used so far) is only £56.00 :T

This is in part due to the fact that OH insisted on paying for all the fresh stuff we needed for going away last week - though I did supply packet soups, tinned fruit, tinned tuna, frozen veg, pasta, rice, pre-cooked chilli, and another pre-cooked mince meal for both of us. But I'd normally have fed him for 4 cooked meals anyway (the weekend either end), so I don't think it balanced out as much as he'd like me to think it did ;)

Of my spends, 67% is from shops and 33% is from long-term stock. Better split so far than last month, but this will possibly change too far the other way to claw back as I'm in desperate need of chicken breasts for the freezer, and they go on offer in Costc0 next Monday. So that'll be at least 2 (probably 3 if I can make freezer space in time) trays at around £14 each  Will also shove me way up close to my budget as well :o

My monthly budget could be shrinking drastically soon. I've had to apply for JSA (with mortgage and council tax help), and after taking into account DS1's earnings (lives here as a non-dependant relative) they'll be deducting over £400 a month from what I'd have qualified for if I lived alone. He's decided he's not happy to pay that on top of what he already pays me (which only covers his living costs), and is desperately trying to find a flat so he can move out. I can't say I blame him, as it's looking like he can have his own flat (and his privacy) for the same money as he'd have to hand over to 'live with mother' at the age of 26. If I'm honest I'm actually looking forward to having the house back to myself, as when he moved back in (just over 3 years ago) it was supposedly for 12 months while he sorted out his financial mess and he constantly fails to stick to 'house rules' (I don't think asking for dirty pots to be left in the kitchen rather than his room, wet towels not to be left on carpets, windows to be closed before leaving the house, alarm to be set before going out or to bed - the last two being conditions of my home insurance! - and family bathroom which he has sole use of to be kept clean is asking too much?).

But if I'm only catering for myself I should be able to use a LOT more of my stocks up. He's a fussy eater so I'm having to work around him most days - especially since he changed his job 3 weeks ago and now wants tea when he gets home every day rather than meals at home 7 days a fortnight and ready meals to take to work the other days (leaving me able to cook fish based or vegetarian meals those days).
