July 2015 Grocery Challenge

I spent £76.69 in various shops yesterday, stocking up on food and bird food for the next week, so my spends so far are £166.10/£400.
Today should be a NSD, making it 4/15 so far this month.
I'm pleased so far because I have a few days off work and usually use this as an excuse to spend £££, because I tell myself I 'deserve' to buy ready meals / expensive food and be lazy at those times, rather than cooking. Up to £73/ £150 so nearly half way for nearly half way through the month not bad going. Last couple of weeks have seen us stocking up the freezer with 'Whoops sticker' meat and fish so that will reduce the cost of the next food shops a great deal as no meat needed not bad going. Have been so busy doing extra work I forgot to subscribe and pop in
I'm doing £400 again for July please
I have been keeping a tally in my sig which is about right.
Bonus of doing more extra hours at work it means less time to shop.
Cleared through the freezer over the weekend
We had a stupid amount of out of date pitta breads, so they got cleared out.SPC~12 ot 124

Had 4 NSD, but yesterday we had a BIG shop for us, as we had nothing in our fridge and spent £40ish, though we definitely got a lot more for that money than we would of done before starting this challenge. So yay me and OH!Joined April 2015 :j0

Well a NSD for me today ... Ate what I had planned and boys were fed at my mams as I was late at work.
I've still got loads in but tomorrow I treat myself to some weight watchers sweets at my meeting (it's the only real treat I do and it's only £6 max - I don't pay for weight watchers either as I've been a gold member for the last 10 years ) so will be a slight spend ... I normally take a purse full of change and use that lol ) so will be a slight spend ... I normally take a purse full of change and use that lol

Discovered last night that I'm desperately low on tinned tuna, so need to stock up very soon.
I've been using Pr!nces Chunks in Brine or in Oil (stocked up when on offer in Mr M a good while back), but the only ones I have left are Orient@l and Pacific Shredded Tuna in Brine which my son won't eat (apparently tastes too fishy!) and I'm not as keen on but can use up in mayo for butties or on jacket potatoes.
Just been doing price checks on line, but don't know what the 2 cheapest are like so thought I'd ask if anyone's used them and what they think.
Unless anyone knows of any deals I've missed, the cheapest is Orient@l & Pacific Chunks in Oil (4x160g for £1.75, so under 44p a tin). The next cheapest per 100g is the Chunks in Brine from A1di (185g for 62p) - though their in Oil is cheaper per tin (160g for 59p).
I also spotted Mr M have the Princes chunks on offer again (4 x 160g for £2.49, making them 62.5p a tin) which I'm tempted to pick up as I know my son will eat that one, but I thought I'd ask if anyone can tell me how the O&P chunks and A1di ones compare to Pr!nces first.
Ald* tuna i would rate first then Mr T's Oriental +Pacific. I regularly buy both.GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £100.43/150 Apr £108.45 app/150 May £149.70/150 Jun £155.15/150 Jul £134.25/£150 Aug £119.37/£150 Sep £170.48?/£150 Oct £98.79?/£180 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. Evening all :hello:
Managed another NSD here today :j
We had French cheese omelettes, tomato and avocado salsa (DH had re-fried roasties).
Maybe try something different for the morrow - am thinking Moroccan chicken, lentils and cous-cous. See how I feel in the morning
Hope you all have a tremendous Tuesday

            Hello all!
Been doing quite well in the manxcottage camp! Stupidly didn't update for my first week which was a spend of £56.70. This week was a total spend of £49.99 of which there was a BOGOF for my favourite in shower moisturiser so I bought 4 That will keep me going for a while. £12.70 was also an impulse spend outside my shopping list, which isn't too bad for me but bad enough, so really need to be keeping to a list. It's just so hard to remember what I need when sometimes. So I'm currently at £106.60/£275. With two more weeks to go, so we might get some savings in! I'm also wanting to move away from T*esco and use the local shops and butchers ect, so I don't know if I will be spending more or less then.
I'm also at £80 on my Tesco saving stamps, which is for building a stock cupboard when we move. Hoping to get that up to £100 by the time we move in!Nessy x0

Had a fairly small shop today - spent a total of £10.83 spread across Mr T, B*M & £land. Total spend to date is £101.40/£250. Now half way with NSDs at 10/20. Pleased with that.
