I am hanging my head in shame lol I took my eye of the ball mid month, not writting down recipts on a daily basis just shoving them in my hand bag plus not planning properly so I have spent £408.93/£250.00 so a masive £158.93 I am so ashamed .

    July grocery challenge £250.00/£408.93
    August grocery challenge£350.00
    2/8£28.46
  • Well I'll join the 'overs' line, didn't keep track during the month and overspent too (£364.79/£250).

Nuff said, moving over to August and will try harder.

I've just finished off tidying up my grocery accounts for July.....

    Official budget was £253.10
Unofficial budget was £200, with no more than £105 in shops

My total spends (full value of all goods bought plus full replacement value of all items used from stock that pre-date 1st Jan) is £181.20 - which means I'm within my unnoficial budget :T

Value of goods from shops was £127, but (after deducting savings due to offers, multibuys, vouchers and reduced to clear) I actually only handed over £100.59 - so I'm also within budget for shop spends :T

Shops to stock ratio is 71% shops : 29% stock. Would have liked it to be slightly heavier on the stock side, but at least it's better than last month - mostly due to having opened a huge tin of Millican0 I bought at the end of last year ;)

But had I made it to Costc0 for the special offer chicken I'd have missed out on both - so I'm going to be taking the hit for that against my August budget at some point this coming week !!
