Evening all :hello:
Had a NSD again today which takes me to 16 :j
Have phoned order to butcher to be delivered on Thursday, which will come out of my bulk buy purchase. Hopefully that will see me through to our holiday in September, as only have red meat two/three times a week and sometimes less.
I would like to get the freezers defrosted and sorted before that I hope, so maybe do one the morrow and one on Wednesday. I will see how things pan out.
We had roast chicken dinner tonight, using the half chicken I froze from three weeks ago, roast pots and steamed veggies. Made a change for a Monday and DH was really surprised and pleased - clean plates both :j
Hope you all have a super Tuesday

I,m running low on lots of things, but enough cat food to last till Thursday, and I will cobble together a couple of meals for us - I am determined not to go over my budget.......
Like Lynne, I will bulk buy some meat for the month on Friday, I then plan my meal plan around that.
DH laughs at me and my lists, but it's saving us moneyNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Island maid I get laughed at for my lists too!
Well last spend of the month yesterday had £10 spent £15.04but £2.50 was a xmas present to put away and £5 was on YS pack of 15 bbq pork loin things that I seperated into bags and put in freezer to make up 6 dinners. Rest was top up bits and supplies for breadmaker I got from 3cycle ( love it already
) .
So I am going to take the £2.50 present off the £15.04 adding £12.54 to my July total. Slightly over but ZERO takeaways and def moving in the right direction.
Hope to see you all over on the August challenge :hello:NST#14/20 -
Started off well, but slipped back into old ways by the end of the month.
Keeping receipts illustrates this perfectly - Ald*s and L*dls for the first three weeks, then M&S and W*trose start appearing! This is because they are near where I work, so I can just nip in for fruit, milk bread etc in my lunch break. Although I don't buy anything 'naughty' the basics still end up more expensive. I have to drive to the discounters, which takes effort and planning.
So... Can I declare £300.10 for July please - that's £10.10 over my target. Not bad for first attempt and lesson learned by keeping receipts for all my shops.Love your library0 -
Have done a fairly big shop but it does include meat for next month. Spent £39.60 taking me up to £245.24/£250. Still have to buy basics on Thursday so will be going over my target for the month for the first time this year but hopefully should be well under again next month as most meat has already been bought. August meal plan was completed yesterday as well so everything meatwise is now in the freezer!
Had another NSD yesterday so now standing at 19/20.
