Sky MSE £6 Offer - can I get it?

Bizarre.
Anyway, arguably, it's a very MSE thing to do.
I disagree, firstly let me eliminate any bitterness that my response may come across. The offer is a great one that did catch my eye but i was nvr interested as i have several months ongoing left with my current provider.
Anyways i would go as far as accusing these sellers of snapping up these codes deliberately to make money and sell them. They knew in advance that it was a very limited offer and that the offer is a steal. There are people who would have missed out on this offer cos these codes were snapped up by touts. The principle is exactly the same as ticket touting outside stadiums and arenas.
I wonder what MSE as the providers think of this activity after all it was their good will to blag the community these codes.
The site is called money saving expert, using the code to save money on the deal. Not money earning expert, selling access to the deal that was given for free in the very first place.Swagbucks - Apr 14 - Nov 19PayPal £1745 Amazon £2285 John Lewis £170 Mastercard £3800 -
I registered my email details for this offer a few days before the offer wen t live and im sure it said I would receive an email with the code (which I haven't received) - is this correct or did I need at apply for a code after it actually went live?0

Hi,
I am an EE broadband customer now and haven't taken either a Sky broadband or Sky TV package in the last 12months. But I've recently subscribed to Now TV which I've now cancelled. When I try to subscribe for this deal it gives me the following message..
"From the information provided you are a sky customer or have been a sky customer in the past at the same address.."
Does having Now TV discount you from this deal? I've cancelled it now and I tried filling in the form using my wife's details but it is still not letting me in.
Any ideas how I can get past this? Sky Chat isn't active to talk to them. I'll try and give them a call later today.0 -
My advice would be to call them and speak to a human, they can help you understand if Now TV counts.
As an update from my original post (which seems to have been merged with this one) - I called Sky today and explained my problem. The nice lady asked me to order Broadband and Talk while I was on the phone with her. She wrote a note on the system to honour the same deal and make a note to call me back in a few days to add the deal. She also had to get her manager to approve it while I waited so I'm pretty hopeful.
Worst case it isn't honoured and I can cancel. Hopefully it will all go through.0 -
I've got the deal finally. I talked to a sky rep on their chat service and he asked me to put first name in the place of last name and vice versa and bingo! the deal went through.

crashing website - chats to cant help you operators (internet only offer) - and finally after hours of grief a hard sell for fibre not standard b/b. I gave up.
I wish I had never bothered and I will be very wary of anything SKY in the future.0 -
Just an update I am as of Friday on sky broadband and any-time talk and messages (for an extra £6 a month) no TV and my account was credited with £110 soon as connection went live on Friday. Speed as expected seems much the same as Talk Talk. Cheers Martin saved £30 per month over my existing Talk Talk Broadband. Did however loose my excuse to go Fibre.0

I signed up to this deal and just got an email with my first bill on it...
"Just to confirm your first month’s bill will be £89.85 and will be taken on or just after 21/07/2015. As this is your first payment it may differ from your ongoing payments, and includes any pre-payments or charges you may have incurred since your Sky services went active."
£89.85?
Anyone? The service only went live yesterday and we haven't made any calls yet.
Are they charging for something a year upfront? I don't see that info on the MSE deal.

The email from Sky - Here's when and how you'll pay for your Sky package is rather confusing (generic) but indicates ''As you don't have an outstanding balance on your account, we won't collect a payment for this bill''.
Have you checked your Sky online statement, did you get the - £110.00 CREDIT Total Due 21/07/2015 = - £89.85 CREDIT
It better be a CREDIT :eek:0
